It was an all right game. I liked the ump yelling at Broussard for running his loser mouth. Would have been sweet for him to get the sombrero.

Mariners should pick up Bonds to DH.

I'd love it if they did, but Howard Lincoln has come out publically to say they'd never do it.

They actually think Vidro is an adequate DH.

Some great baseball games, how about those royals sticking it to the tigers?

I was pretty impressed w/ the Twins over Weaver and the Angels. Gomez had an excellent outing, I definitely see him getting 50 stolen bases this year. Anyone else catch this game?

Highlight of the game had to be Nathan striking out Torii Hunter in the 9th with some high heat.

His weight always concerned me. I mean the track record of guys like that isn't really good.

That being said, 1 day in. Calm down guys. Let's not get the Mark Schlereth complex and start declaring MVPs, ROTY, Championships, and what not after one game. Better yet, let's wait till August. Sound good?

What's to calm down? Isn't the point of this thread about predictions and harping on teams/players? I don't recall anyone talking about rewards in this whole thread.

People always go haywire after 2 or 3 games and start saying that teams are for real (hell, my buddy just did it with the Nats due to a bet we have). Predictions are one thing, talking about legitimacy after a week is another.

Yah, after last year and the Mets collapse, along with the Mariners dismal stretch towards the end where they had like a .150 win percentage, I'll hold most judgements until mid September.

Nationals on pace for 162 wins, Zimmerman on pace for 104 home runs. Looking forward to this season =P
