At Safeco Field these days at least, Red Sox fans are much more of a virus than Yankee fans.

Who's up next? Daisuke?

Help us Daisuke-won, you're our only hope.

Granted the Sox aren't firing on all cylinders, but the Rays are -really- good this year. Makes me think back years ago when you'd see a Rays Vs. Sox game at Fenway, and when the Sox started having issues, people would shout out "It's frickin Tampa Bay!!!"

The balance of power in the AL East is changing.

Baltimore and Toronto still have some fairly serious problems, but I could easily see the Rays becoming the favorites to win the division each year for the next few years, with the outstanding young talent they have.

Phillies/Rays will be both a nightmare for TV executives, and the best Series we've seen in a long time.

I'll be pulling for the Rays. But I won't be watching them.

What's not to like about this series? Like 10 of the 25 best young players in baseball. The Rays are the best story since Minnesota/Atlanta in 91. Philadelphia may finally win a title in something. I think it's great. Fuck NY/Boston/LA.

Either NL team could beat the AL winner. Probably not, but in baseball more than any other sport its not always the best team that wins. Thats what makes it great.
Yeah. I went to game 2 of the ALCS in St. Pete since I live close by. I was born outside Boston and lived in New Hampshire for a while so I've been a Red Sox fan all my life. But, I've lived in and around Tampa for 18 years now. I like the Rays too.

There was almost 50% Boston fans at that game, heh. It was pretty strange. The Rays have a slogan 'this is OUR house' so as to say, 'we know every time Boston came during the regular season, there were more Boston fans than Tampa fans, but still..'.

The Sox have come back twice from 3-1 and they are the ONLY MLB team to come back from a 3-0. Don't say never. I guarantee Maddon will be telling his team the same thing.
