+3 Internets | So it looks like the Mets have cemented another collapse. Brewers winning going into the 9th, Mets loosing bottom of the 8th. Goodbye Shea, nobody is going to miss you. P.S. Go Marlins - stick it to the man. |

+4 Internets | I've been a Brewer's fan my whole life and I never thought I would see this day. Dear God please let the Marlins win.

+4 Internets | I get a little bit of a chubby thinking about how the Yankees with their 209 million dollar payroll and the Mets with their 138 million dollar payroll (#1 and #3 in the MLB) can't buy a playoff berth but the Rays at 44 million are in.

| He should have thanked the Mets. Their unprecedented 2nd epic collapse in a row is what enabled them to make it.

+8 Internets | Anyone have a location to watch the playoff games online? Today's game is the only one I can't wait and I don't want to pay $25 at MLB.com to watch one game. |

| I just have to say I really enjoyed watching the Marlins play baseball this year. They're the lowest payroll baseball team and managed to stay in the race until the last few weeks, and still finishing with an over .500 record. Thank god they have such an amazing farming system. Every year they develop and bring out new talent to stay competitive, and sadly I have to watch them get picked up by other teams because our fan base is small and we can't afford to pay them. |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | 2008 American League (AL) Expanded Standings - Baseball-Reference.com I got in an argument with someone who didn't believe that the Angels were considered to be the luckiest team in the league this year based off their pythagorean numbers. If anyone is interested it's a great look since it shows how the Angels really defied every meaningful statistic to win 100 games. |

| Registered User | You guys can keep Manny. I'd rather have one Bay, Ellsbury or Youklis to 10 Manny's. He's a great hitter, no doubt, but his showboating has always been in poor taste. Give it a year or two; when he blows some games for the Dodgers as a result of his ego you'll start to realize just what was going on between him and the Sox. Speaking of the Red Sox, Lester was absolutely stunning. Everyone keeps saying it, but he really does seem to get more dominant as the game goes on. Now we just have to hope that Daisuke can keep his perfect road record going. |

| I dont give a shit about a few years. He probably wont even be a Dodger next year. What counts is right now, this year. He's been a beast for this team. once he came around, this team just started hitting. Pitching has always been there, but if you dont have run support, all the pitching in the world is worthless.

| A Bearded Gnome | Cubs choking like the Cubs do...and I thought this was really going to be the season they would win the Series and I'm a very die-hard White Sox fan so that is very hard for me to say. Joe Torre is just one of the greatest managers ever and the Yankee's were fools for canning him. White Sox = no bullpen = roflstomped in postseason
