I had Guthrie for most of the second half of last season I think, dude was alright. Scooped Beckett with my first pick this year in my other league, I couldn't make the draft last night =/

someone make me a an offer for pedro. i know you all think hes "questionable" because of last years injury but you're all gonna terribly sorry when he comes out throwing bullets and i make you pay out the ass for him.

Josh Fields is officially on the block for me. I love his talent, but for some god awful reason Crede is still going to start and no one wants him because he looks fucking hurt.

I'm looking for a reliever for fields. If you're interested, send me a proposal on the league or send me a tell.

i was strongly considering your offer blumpster, but after looking into prince fielder's off season activities i saw that he has converted to vegetarianism? what the hell is that? a power hitter who won't eat a steak? unfortunately i'm gonna have to pass, though having peavy and santana both would have been just plain ridiculous.

thorpe: i'm mostly looking for some relief pitching right now, espec now that lidge is on the 15 day DL

Well, he was fat before. He's in overall better shape now. Same with Manny. A lot of the guys on ESPN were saying earlier he's gotten into fantastic shape over the off-season and he's really trying hard since it's a contract year.

Manny is in ridiculous shape right now and was destroying A's pitching in Japan for whatever thats worth. I don't think he's going to have a career year but I think it's going to be very, very close. If you pulled him in the draft be psyched !

It's nie to know Manny understands the concept of contract year. I could see him pulling his old 40/100 routine. Last year was the first time in like, 10 years he failed to crack 100 RBIs (he was actually hurt for a good portion of the season too).

I'm not gonna take anything that came from Japan with a positive or a negative. It's essentially spring training and I think baseball needs to stop with this shit and just let teams play out the spring.

Whatever though, tomorrow night is when it really begins. I think I'm gonna start Josh Hamilton since everyone is projecting him to have a monster year. That leaves one outfield spot for me with Granderson out hurt. I'm completely on the fence right now.

I hear you man, as a Sox fan I hated it, as a baseball fan it gives me wood to think what globalization of MLB will mean 20 or 30 years from now. Also I think if your biggest fantasy problem is whether to start josh hamilton or not thats a pretty nice problem to have ! Crazy story on him and I really pull for a guy who can claw his way back like that from a fucking crack addiction.

Varitek struck out 6 times. I'm pretty use to it though. He's been really on the downside of his career for the last couple years. I'm horrified they're gonna sign him to a 3 year deal. I mean yeah, he's a team leader and a great catcher, but it's close to the point where we may have to start batting him 8th now.

The Varitek situation is the only thing that worries me really since this has been in the making since 2005.

Sorry guys, my 1st fantasy league gonna have a couple questions. Do my bench guys stats count toward my point totals, and can I make moves off my bench on game days before games start?

I'm pretty sure your answers are No and Yes. Your guys have to be starting on the day they play for the stats to count, and you can make changes for certain players before their games start.
