Some people just transcend their sport, Favre is one of those guys. You want him on your team. Packers rebuilt, he stuck with them, and led them to an NFC title game with a 13-3 record. That's not bad, at least not in my book, maybe yours is a little more myopic.

Washed up? He just got done with an NFC title game aforementioned. He's had shitty games and shitty seasons but when you're with a franchise that long it's going to happen... you can't be Jesus every year. He stuck with them, and when it was time for them to stick they forced him to compete with Rodgers. Its just ridiculous.

If Favre wants to play for your team, and you're not proven at QB, you give Favre the ball.

And yeah I am measuring Superbowls as a stat. Throwing 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns a season is great, but who cares if you aren't winning a championship?

If you aren't going to play him, cut him or trade him. If you know damn well he is better than what you have and are scared the Vikings will get him then maybe you should have decided to play him a long time ago and avoid all this.

They called his bluff, but he wasn't bluffing so now they have no choice but to go the total dick route. And when Rogers gets slammed for sucking this season the fans will revolt.

So what. The Packers own his rights. This is a business, they don't owe him shit. He isn't special, he's just like any other player when it comes to this situation.

That picture is bullshit. Find the picture right before he throws the ball.

Favre made the right read, he just fucked up the throw.

Any other player would be cut, released or traded in an instant. And if they were a good player that was refused those options they would be on the field. See Chad Johnson.

He's being traded so releasing him would be a dumb move on the Packers part.

From what I heard on news break on NFL Radio on Sirius is right now there's a bidding war between the Bucs and the Jets and the deal should go down tonight for whichever team wins the bidding war supposedly. I hope he goes to the Jets.

In an instant? No they wouldn't be. Shit takes time.

Manny Ramirez was gone in a matter of a few days. It's doesn't take 3 months or whatever the Days of our Favre soap opera has taken.

They haven't even been trying to do anything with him. They offered him a $25M BRIBE to shut up and stay home and watch the games on TV. That doesn't sound like an organization that is doing anything to help Brett play again, for them or anyone else.

They have a pretty friendly schedule, playing the NFC and AFC west, so they'll be playing for a wild card.

Hard Knocks started tonight on HBO and it was really good especially if you're a Cowboys fan. They showed Pacman catching 6 punts and holding all the balls. Pretty impressive.

I have a friend who is a Jets fan. He is probably going to be very, very happy when he wakes up tomorrow.
