+1 Internets | He's a no-brainer HOF QB, lets get that out of the way. With that said, you could make the argument that in the past few years he's been fairly mediocre. Apart from last year, one could even argue that he was sorta crappy. And yeah he had a good year last year, but even so he's thrown way too many stupid interceptions in the past few years, especially in the playoffs, for me to fear him in a big game. It's not like Tom Brady decided to retire in the prime of his career here, Farve is still a solid QB, but I wouldn't put him in the top 5...maybe not even in the top 10 in the NFL. |

| I hate brett favre wish he'd just go back to Mississippi and disapear. He does have 3 MVP awards, but 2 of em he probably didnt deserve at the time. The first one in 1995 Emmitt Smith(1773 yds rushing, around 2100 all purpose yards and at the time it was what an NFL record? 25 rushing TD's) should've won but lost out because a legendary franchise was back on top for the first time in a long while and Favre lead that resurgence and probably got some play with the AP. The 2nd one I'd say was legit and he probably does deserve that MVP. Jerry Rice came in 2nd that year and I dont remember him doing all too well that year. In 1997 his 3rd he shared with Barry Sanders who rushed for over 2k yards that year but his Lions team went something like 5-11 that year. Even an 8-8 year for him he would've won that award, but I'm sure that the team record played into it. He did win them I'll give him that but I just think he got lucky for 2 of them. Now as for his numbers, he played at a good level for 16 something years and never missed a game. Of course he's gonna put up monster numbers over time, but that doesnt mean he's an all time great or anything. Steriods aside look at Rafael Palmerio 3000 hits, 500 homeruns would be hall of fame numbers, but he was just consistenly good for a long time. Never among the all time greats. If it wasnt for Peter King, John Madden, and a couple of the ESPN dudes drooling all over his cock, Brett Favre would be another Rafael Palmerio or Steve Deberg. |

| I can't believe you're comparing Favre to Palmerio. 16 seasons with the Packers, took them to playoffs 11 of those years. Yeah, he's pretty much a badass. He gets alot of ass kissing granted, but he's one of the greatest QBs ever. |

Don't question this mans greatness in football. Seriously, Favre is the poster child for what a football player should be. Not the greatest QB of all time(That spot reserved for Montana in my book, atleast until brady wins a few more SBs) but he is for sure in the top 10 QBs of all time.

+19 Internets | some ignorant shit coming out of Gigfc's mouth. Measuring super bowls is such a misleading stat line, Peyton could easily still just have 1 in a few years, I guess he won't deserve it either. I guess green bay should trade Brett for Kurt Warner since he's a winner. |

| Pride Never Die | Cya Brett. I'm glad the Packers aren't going to let him hold the Franchise hostage any longer. ESPN - After hours of meetings with Favre, McCarthy appears ready to move on - NFL

| So instead the franchise is going to dictate the end of his career? They aren't just holding him hostage, they are murdering his football persona. If you aren't going to play him, cut him or trade him. If you know damn well he is better than what you have and are scared the Vikings will get him then maybe you should have decided to play him a long time ago and avoid all this. They called his bluff, but he wasn't bluffing so now they have no choice but to go the total dick route. And when Rogers gets slammed for sucking this season the fans will revolt.

| Well, the NFL is a "win this year" league. It really has to be based upon the average head coaching tenure. Even with the media circus, the hurt feelings, etc....the rubber will hit the road on Week 1. It's quite the gamble. Does anyone really think Aaron Rodgers gives the Packers the best chance to win when compared to other quarterbacks under contract with the team? You LET the guy hold you hostage and win you football games until he becomes replaceable. Maybe Rodgers is that guy. But since he's still in the "never started an NFL game" department THIS year....you do NOT let Brett Favre walk out your door. Christ. |

| Pride Never Die | Before last season Favre was sucking so bad people wanted him to retire and he has a good half-season last year and he's the messiah again. The Packers are going to right thing. He's washed up and should stay retired.

| That should not be within Green Bay's rights to decide. That is up to Brett and perhaps some medical personnel in the case of injury.

+19 Internets | I love how you can help lead your team to the NFC championship and a 13-3 record and the next year be shown the door. Thompson must have promised Mike he wont get fired no matter what the season record is or something, no way is Rodgers guaranteeing you more wins |
