Skeletor Davis has needed to hang them up for years now. Now, me being a Chief fan, this is just awesome for me, but for Raider fans, someone needs to tell him to stfu and quit ruining the team.

As a Raiders fan, I can't wait to see the team without Al Davis as owner. Looks like next season going to be another disappointment.

When he gets rid of Kiffin this will be the 5th coaching change in 6 years or so?

It's getting harder and harder to like the Raiders.

Ravens are expected to announce Rex Ryan as their defensive coordinator and assistant head coach today. He had to regain the job after being part of the mass firings after Billick was cut loose.

Annnnnd, rumors are flying that Jerry Jones is going to try and make some sort of deal so that he can grab McFadden in the draft. I personally don't believe it because he knows he has a good 'back in Barber and has said on his Radio Show that we shouldn't necessarily consider Julius Jones as a goner (though I see it as a given because he's good enough to not be a backup so I expect a team with running back needs to pick him up).

The Dallas Cowboys have received permission to talk with Jacksonville Jaguars' assistant head coach Dave Campo about a job as secondary coach.

Campo is believed to be the front-runner to fill the vacancy created when Todd Bowles departed last week to join the Miami Dolphins' staff as assistant head coach.
ESPN - Jags allow Cowboys to talk to former head coach Campo - NFL

I think I'll cry myself to sleep tonight. God help us if Campo comes back to wreck an already weak part of this team.

Snyder needs to stop playing Fantasy Football with the team.

It looks like the Rams will be interviewing Saunders/Williams. If they both go to the Rams, I can see that team being Contenders really fast. I hope they end up having a lot of success after the way everything went down here.

I read on the extreme skins forums that Steve Mariucci might be in the running for the HC position as well.

Eh? Campo is a good coach, just a bad head coach.

He was our secondary coach during the Superbowl years.

I'm with you on all of that. Kiffin actually seems to be a promising young coach, and Al Davis is a fossil of a control freak. If he hadn't driven Gruden out of town the raiders might have actually won the super bowl 5 years ago. :/

I certainly don't watch the games with any sort of enthusiasm as I used to a few years ago, the constant upheaval has taught me how Browns and Bengals fans felt for decades!

Ehhh, you have no idea how far down the rabbit hole goes. You were in the superbowl this decade. The Bengals...they've had 1 winning season since 1990. A single playoff loss. It's alright though, eventually games get fun to watch again. You just expect to lose and take heart that your train wreck of a team is hilariously incompetent, and every win is an unexpected surprise.

It's not so bad really...being resigned to failure.

Press conference today confirmed Campo as the new secondary coach. It's not a bad hire since he held the same position in the Cowboys before and was actually their DC for a while before getting promoted after Chan Gailey was fired. His run at HC was tainted by having no quarterback and a shitty cap situation. I dare even Bill Belichick to do well under those circumstances.

At any rate, only one more position coach to fill, and then it's on to Free Agency.

Dom Capers will interview with Dallas Cowboys

Former Texans, Panthers head coach would coach linebackers in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys will interview former Panthers and Texans head coach Dom Capers at Valley Ranch on Tuesday, according to a source.

Capers is being interviewed for the vacant linebackers position.

A noted defensive coach, Capers has expertise in the 3-4 scheme. Last week, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he wanted head coach Wade Phillips to hire coaches who were familiar with the 3-4 scheme. However, Dallas interviewed its former head coach, Dave Campo, on Monday for the secondary job. Campo, currently the assistant head coach in Jacksonville, has worked primarily with the 4-3.

But hiring Capers, the defensive coordinator with Miami the last two seasons, appears to be a sign that the Cowboys want veteran coaches to go with Phillips and to help defensive coordinator Brian Stewart. Stewart, who just completed his first season as coordinator, coached under Capers in Houston.

Capers was one of the highest-paid assistant coaches last season, earning $2.6 million per season before he was fired by Miami.

Are you a failed NFL head coach? The Dallas Cowboys want YOU!

HEY! Maybe we can get Lane Kiffin to be a ball boy!!

I hate Jerry Jones.

Hey, we're essentially picking up a bunch of overqualified guys for position coaching jobs. I'll take that. Besides, you honestly cannot pick and choose and there's a good chance all of these guys were the best out there.

They are overqualified failures. If I want new position coaches (read:teachers) I'm going to the college ranks. OC/DC and HC need to be the ones with heafty NFL credentials.

Those guys were all decent coaches, just not good HEAD coaches. It's a totally different job and not every coach is suited for it. Both his HC jobs were for newly formed expansion teams, which always start out terrible. And are still terrible now that hes gone infact..

Pretty much. And like I said, Camp had a very shitty situation in regards to his QB (the team went through 7 during his tenure) and being up against the salary cap almost every season. Basically, Jerry was as much if not more to blame for three straight 5-11 seasons and it took Bill Parcells to smack him around a bit and get the ship righted again.
