Their dynasty is "burning to the fucking ground". Is it that intense, really?

Or maybe I really don't give a shit about what the team does as long as they win? Seriously, I'm willing to bet that most of the people who follow football teams don't give two shits what they do.

The thing I always found amazing was how the sports public (the majority) felt it was no huge deal, but the minority is so loud about everything New England does that they refuse to let it go.

Look at the NBA and their ref scandal. One of their officials happened to be officiating a pivotal Suns/Spurs playoff game. We've heard not a fucking PEEP out of this, but now people are making the big deal about the Pats having a dude who's on IR on the practice squad?

So yes, keep saying I'm minimizing or whatever the fuck you wanna call it. I don't really care and I don't think it's a big deal. I think the NBA problem is a lot bigger.

No one gives a shit anymore. The Pats have cheated since Belichick took over, this is common knowledge. He paid for it, the heftiest fine levied in the NFL ever. His team lost a draft pick. It's over. Let it go.

And I agree, but people can't fucking let it go. It's astounding. I really think someone needs to look into the NBA thing, but no one seems to care. Sigh.

Raider fans still bitch about the immaculate reception, it's the fact of football. There isn't as much rivalry in basketball(among fans) so it's not surprising you don't see a shit storm. It's just something you will have to get used to because this shit isn't going to die anytime soon.

If it wasn't your team I don't think you would be saying this at all. Maybe if your team was one of the ones affected by this you would be here not 'letting it go' yourself.

People who got illegally taped have every right to raise a fuss about it. Yeah, I'm sure a number of teams do this but the Pats got caught and now they are under scrutiny. It sucks for some of the players, but it's totally understandable.

Actually us Raider fans don't give a fuck about the "immaculate reception" as it was in fact a great catch.

We bitch about the dumb fucking refs being paid off to give the game to the Pats when they called the fucking bullshit tuck rule against us, even tho he didn't tuck shit.

THAT, PISSES RAIDER NATION OFF.

Doh

the reason Raiders fan bitch about the immaculate reception, is not because of the skill involved in the catch. There was a rule that said two offensive players could not touch a pass in succession, which made the catch illegal since Fuqua touched the ball followed by Harris. People also dispute whether the ball was picked up off of the ground.

Didn't know that rule, interesting.

I guess I didn't care cuz I was too young. The tuck rule deal was just a stupid fucking referee who probably had a bet on the game.

NFL grants limited reinstatement to Dallas Cowboys' Pacman Jones

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News
tarcher@dallasnews.com

IRVING – When the Dallas Cowboys begin their third week of organized team activities on Wednesday at Valley Ranch, Pacman Jones will be on the field, but his ability to play in the regular season has not been finalized.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday notified Jones that he may participate in the OTAs, minicamp, training camp and preseason games. Goodell will make a final determination on a full reinstatement by Sept. 1, six days before the season opener at Cleveland.

According to a statement put out by the league, "Goodell told Jones that his continued participation in the NFL depends on demonstrating that he can conduct himself in a lawful and reliable manner. Jones will be expected to continue the personal conduct program established for him by the NFL and the Cowboys and to avoid further adverse involvement with law enforcement."

Jones was suspended in April 2007 for multiple violations of the league's personal conduct policy and was traded to the Cowboys by Tennessee for a fourth-round pick on NFL draft weekend.

Jones had a face-to-face meeting with Goodell two weeks ago in Atlanta. He recently moved to Dallas and took part in a workout with Deion Sanders and a handful of NFL players at SMU last weekend.

"This limited reinstatement is a step in the process," Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in a statement released by the team. "Adam is aware of the things that need to be done in order to take the next step."

So it looks like if Pacman can behave himself for the summer, he'll be cleared for the regular season. At least he finally gets to practice/work out with the team for now.

TO signed a 3-year extension. So we've got our biggest playmakers on tap for the next 4 years minimum.

Benson cut by Bears. I'd like to see the Texans ink a 1 year deal with him.

Because they could definitely use another mediocre running back!

I think he'll get suspended though. That's two incidences in the past month.
