To the GOOD teams, the combine results only augment your play tape. Most of the drill done at the combine arn't even football drills, they are scout drills.

Combine is good for the coaches to get to know a player they are interested in. The other stuff imo is to see if they can stay in shape.

Cowboys resign Flozell Adams for 6 years. Marion Barber gets the highest RFA tender, meaning if a club goes after him and the Cowboys don't match, they'll get a 1st and 3rd round pick. The Zach Thomas deal is actually 4 years but the first year only totals to slightly more than $1.25m against the cap. There's still a big question of where he'll fit into the scheme since the guy is still quite capable of pulling in a starter position.

Players as great as Zach Thomas can adjust and fit into any defensive scheme.

Not quite sure how I feel about seeing Shaun Rogers go to Cincy for a 3rd and a 5th round pick. Maybe with his inconsistent play at times this was a good deal, but I can't help but think of his occasional dominating performances and think the Lions got screwed on the deal by not at least getting a 2nd round pick. Now we better not draft another fucking wide receiver with those picks or any of our regular ones.
