| Anyways, great fight. Some of the undercards were making me worried for buying this fight, but after the main event I don't regret a thing. Mayweather may be an asshole, but I think I'm coming around as a fan. |

+2 Internets | Fight was at 4am, fuckers. Ah well, was really hoping Mayweather lost after he kept talking trash, especially the "I'm better than Ali" stuff (Ok maybe I lost the point). And yes you can't equate American Football to rugby, they may have similar styles but they won't be able to run for more than 5 minutes vs rugby players and tire out in the first half. Likewise the rugby players probably won't have the same acceleration as the usa guy's and not be able to contain them in football.

+1 Internets | In the build up to the fight i really did think Hatton could do it he seemed relaxed and never looked in better shape. But about 2 hours before the fight they showed a interview with him in his changing room and he just flat out looked scared and really nervous. At that point i phoned my bookie and made a bet on Mayweather, I have never seen Hatton like it before in all his fights he is so calm and joking around, last night he was stumbling over his words and he looked worried. The event got to Hatton he got to hyped up in the ring and was not following his plan he was getting to close he was just charging in blindly, I cannot remember him once trying to through he trademark body punches, the ref also had a shocking performance he was to eager to get involved in the fight and stop and kind of fight that Hatton wanted even when there was no need to stop the fight he jumped in. Mayweather was very good though he destroyed Hatton and would have easily won on points if it was not for the knockout, last night he put himself down as one of the greatest boxing our his generation if not all time, Hatton is a great fighter made to look extremely ordinary that is what Mayweather does so well. Mayweather won't fight again there is no need to Hatton was the only boxer who people in boxing thought could stop him and he beat him in style so he has nothing else to prove. Hatton should drop back down again dominate his weight class again and call it a day |
