Scott Boras is simply doing his job. Getting as much money as he can for his clients. He is very, very good at it.

It is baseball's fucked up revenue structure that allows things to happen the way they do, it is not Scott Boras's fault in any way, shape, or form.

And seriously, I don't mean to sound condescending, but do some research about how much revenue the teams that have their own cable networks pull in that they don't have to even account for in revenue sharing.

You'll realize why teams like the Yankees and Red Sox have an advantage that is nearly insurmountable as long as their management is paying attention.

The Rockies made the World Series because they were playing in the NL, where the overall talent level is significantly lower.

I didn't argue it dude. I live in lower Fairfield County. I have to deal with hearing about YES and how much the Yankees worth. I think that franchise cable network and all is worth like fucking 3 billion at least. I think they could buy about 6 teams if they wanted to. Boston doesn't make nearly as much, but thye get a lot. More and more teams will see this. I'm sure the Dodgers/Angels will be next followed by the Cubs. The Braves kind of have TBS and their owned by John Malone (he's from CT so everyone makes a huge deal about it).

More and more teams will start gunning for the local network. I can't downplay it, I'm not that smug. It gives those teams a huge advantage except the Orioles. They're well, I don't know. They should let every contract run out except for their young guys and start from scratch.

Fine, then stop blaming things on Scott Boras.

It's not his fault, and you're just buying into owners using the media to try to turn him into the boogeyman for trying to advocate for his clients.

Asking for 10 years is absurd. This just doesn't happen anymore. To tell the Yankees "We'll start at 10/350" is insanity. Now, A-Rod is just as greedy as Boras, but at the same time Boras needs to grow with the times. His guys are the only ones reaching FA nowadays and teams (most of them) are too smart to give out crazy contracts to guys who don't deserve them.

Most of the guys on the market are Boras guys, has-beens, or never will bes.

A-Rod is going west, and they will pay big for him.

Stop calling A-Rod and Boras greedy. Why should he play for less than he can get? When you work a job to you voluntarily take a wage cut?

Bottom line: baseball is a business, and the players play because they're paid, regardless of their team affiliation.

You're comparing A-Rod making 350 million to someone making 50 or 60k a year? Thanks for playing.

Heh, now they are saying there is collusion amongst owners to not sign A-Rod and force him to take a more reasonable offer.

So now common sense and intelligence is a form of collusion? What the fuck is wrong with this fucking country?

Fuck You Boras. Fuck you A-Rod. This is what you get. You didn't want to take a 250 million dollar extension from the Yankees because you were sooooo sure that you would get your 80 year 4 trillion dollar contract on the open market.

Take it and shove it up your fucking asses. No one wants to play a single player a 1/3 of their payroll. Roll with the times and don't go whining to the fucking players association.

Why should he work for less money? What's wrong with him asking for it? The money is either going into his pockets or the owners' pockets.

As more comes out of our pockets when beer prices go up to 15$ a pop, ticket prices increase, etc.
