+18 Internets | I'd take Rodriguez. Rodriguez would stir up some crazy shit in the Big 10, which is really what it needs right now. In as much as the game has passed by Carr the game has passed by the Big 10 in a lot of ways. Don't get me wrong I love Big 10 football. Line it up and play---oldschool to the bone, and sure there's been some hints of freshness in Tressel or Tiller, but by and large it's the same old, same old. It's worked in the past because the talent pool was deep enough and split amongst few enough teams that pretty much every year someone was just going to be able to out muscle another top tier team. It still works out like that, only not as often as it used to. The bottom line is that college ball is becoming more and more innovative and the Big 10 in comparison is looking more and more stagnant. There's got to be someone out there that can strike a happy medium and merge the aesthetics of midwest football with the quickly evolving game of college ball. This is not to encourage the Big 10 haters, though. I think year in and year out the Big 10 is one of the best conferences out there. Yeah, the SEC is better, but not by that much. |

| If I was a major program who had a good recruiting base I'd take Mike Leach in a heart beat. His offense with players who are actually good, with a decent DC would be awesome. 7 Straight bowl games(4-3 record), 56-33 overall record while at tech, 6-8 vs A&M and UT. Has had several 1,000 yard running backs to go along with his prolific offense. Dude coaches a school out in the armpit of Texas where it rains mud, who's players are more 2-3* star players, but as his career says gets the most out of his players. I hate Tech, but respect the heck out of Leach(mainly cause he has owned us lately). I'd have no problem what so ever paying him $3 mil a yr for him to coach at A&M. Plus the dude is hilarious. |

+1 Internets | Heard this earlier today. Apparently Michigan told App St. "Here's your money, I'm glad your boys had a good time, now never come back". Makes me hate them even more. PS For extra hilarity factor, I actually wandered into an Ohio State bar I had never seen on Saturday to watch the games. Being a gator, I ragged on them all day, but we got along well watching Michigan get stood up by App St. Good Times! So there's proof positive, OSU fans can get along with people sometimes! Dumar, take note! ![]() |

+1 Internets | Ironically enough, Michigan turned down a game with Hawaii for the App. St. game. Hawaii would have had to travel 5 time zones away and play in front of probably the biggest crowd the school has ever played in front of. But judging by how Michigan played, Hawaii could have dropped 70 on them. |

| WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! One of the wildest, craziest, and maybe the most annoying call ever. I have listened X10 and still love it. Wish I could get like the last 3 minutes to hear how down the casters were and then to unleash the pandemonium, just wow. |

| A couple of things: 1- When they interviewed some of the Michigan players after the game, one of the players acted outraged they were even talking about their loss. He said he wanted to move past the game, and talk about them winning the title this year. Huh? 2- Why would Michigan pick a team that won its division the last two years, and could go onto three-peat? As Rome said, if you are picking a lay down team, pick one that isn't dominant in its division.

2. Twobit covered it but a 1AA team is still a 1AA team. Nobody who considers themselves a top program would think twice about taking them on. Maybe App State has what it takes to become a bottom rung Div-1 team, but that still shouldn't be looked at as a threat to any true ranked team. | |
