Oddly enough, Tiki didn't make a single pro-bowl until Coughlin took over the coaching job when he went 3 years in a row. He was just a decent RB up until then, then he became a really good one. In other words, fuck Tiki.. he makes T.O. look like a team player.

Chargers this year!

This time it's all on the team. No more "Marty ball", "Marty can't win a Superbowl", excuses. The team is solid. Time to get it done and finally bring the trophy home to San Diego.

No, not at all, why would it?

Cause the Chargers used those picks to get Philip Rivers, Nate Kaeding and Shawne Merriman?

Excuse me, I've got something in my eye...

Actually it was Brees and Ladanian we got for him, if memory servers...

Wasn't that the Vick deal that got Brees & LT and not the Manning deal?

Correct. The Manning deal was after the players were drafted and the teams swapped Rivers, Manning and some other draft picks.

That's twice now that the Chargers have "passed" (although the Manning deal wasn't by their choice) on two quarterbacks that people drooled over and ended up on the better end of the deal.

I stand corrected. It does appear that Vick was traded for picks that led to Brees and LT, while Manning netted Rivers and some picks.

Doh! for me as a Chargers fan for remembering it wrong. I still think we have a good chance at winning the big one this year.

At least Marty has taken teams to the Conference Championship game. Have you looked up Norv's (lack of) success? This is a definite downgrade.

I totally cursed the Pats defense by taking them for my fantasy team. A few days after taking them their D started taking HGH and getting crazy injuries, not to mention Samuel's holdout. I hate to admit it, to me, the Pats do not look as strong as they did. They might lose a game this year.

Not with Rex Grossman. He can't even take snaps without fumbling. Change the QB and they would have a really good team.

They should pick up Byron Leftwich. At least when he's healthy he's a good player. Unlike Sexy Rexy, who could fuck up a peanut butter sandwhich.

No Eagles preseason games televised and no Eagles fans here. What a complete disappointment. At least the first game is verse the Packers, and yes the safety's will catch at least 3 interceptions from Favor....

McNabb, Dawkins, Westbrook, Sheppard, and Brown are all healthy. We got all the safety's ready to kick ass and McNabb can throw all day to Westbrook. Last year was a wash, so this year its time again to put the NFC East in its place. Sorry cowboys, you maybe "America's Team" but you still don't have a fucking chance in hell.

Bad news Cowboys fans

Terry Glenn Out For Season; Needs Microfracture Surgery

DallasCowboys.com - News

Quote:
IRVING, Texas - Three days before their regular-season opener, the Cowboys learned wide receiver Terry Glenn's problematic right knee will force him to miss the entire 2007 season, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones said late Thursday afternoon.

Jones said Glenn's knee injury is similar to that of former Cowboys center Al Johnson, who missed his entire rookie season in 2003 following microfracture surgery.

"You hate to see this with one of your top players and we need all of those we can beyond the field," Jones said. ""It's a real blow for Terry and for us."

Glenn missed all of preseason after having arthroscopic knee surgery Aug. 1 to remove a tiny cyst from the back of his right kneecap. The 33-year-old receiver returned to practice Wednesday but sat out Thursday because of what Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips described as swelling in his knee.

Without Glenn, the Cowboys must rely on Terrell Owens, fourth-year veteran Patrick Crayton and second-year veterans Sam Hurd and Miles Austin. It's also likely they will add another wide receiver to replace Glenn, who will likely be placed on injured reserve soon.
