| I didn't think this really deserved it's own thread, but i couldn't decide whether to put this here or in the WWE thread. I know this is mostly about Red Sox, but there is an over all Boston Sports Teams undertone, so I'll toss it here. ESPN - NFL to suspend Pats' Harrison for doping violation - NFL So much for "doing things the right way" and "we only use high character players" that the Pats were known for. ![]() |

| I just love the people from other parts of the country who are all suddenly fans of MA teams... not that the sox are really much better now than they have been in the past cause they still choke but the pats fans everywhere is funny... bandwagoners are the lamest of the sportsfans, and most of um have such funny excuses as to why they bandwagon like they know someone who knows someone who happens to be a legit fan so this excuses their bandwagoneering! |

| Hell yes. I had high hopes, but not that high. Sox pitching is trending toward ridiculous. As far as the fans go, I am getting kind of irritated by the bandwagoning and ignorant smack-talking. When I was a little kid I had two pictures over my bed, one of Jesus and another of Ted Williams. It's nice to see a new generation of Sox fans, but in DC my guess is that the large plurality of baseball caps I see are Sox caps (except on the day of a Nats home game, when it's often the Nats and almost as often whoever the visiting team is). Even down South I see quite a few people wearing Sox stuff. It's hard to say that any given person is not a genuine fan, but Red Sox Nation is awfully bloated these days. And with respect to the Pats, I don't know anybody outside New England who likes them, but maybe I'm just sheltered. I know a lot of people who hate the team with the burning fire of a thousand suns. And the Harrison thing sucks, and I'm really disappointed, but I still have high hopes for the season. |

| I can't stand Red Sox fans on the whole, finding them only infinitesimally less annoying than Yankee fans, but... Clay Buchholz, my hat's off to you. I just watched the highlights and that was a well-earned no hitter. The curveball, in particular, was completely filthy. |

The Harrison thing is disappointing, but I understand why he did it. He's been hurt so much the past 3 years you do whatever you can to get healthy. I'm not justifying it by the way, just saying I understand it. | |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | To be fair, the Mets and Angels are up there. All signs indicate the Angels making a monstrous A-Rod push and they're already at 107. The Cubs are just under 100 and that's only going to rise. A lot of teams are getting to be over 100 million because contracts are getting bigger. It's just how it goes. With the poor crop of free agents, I expect most of the major players to drop off in payroll. The Yankees will probably drop 20 million off their payroll unless they make more absurd horrible signings (completely feasible). Cot's Baseball Contracts Great site if you wanna check out contracts for your team. |

+15 Internets | CT is really just a part of New York, because I swear everyone in fucking CT is a Yankees fan. Then again, in southern CT, most of them are NYers technically anyways ;p
