Low weight / High rep for building bigger muscle? lol

Seriously, if you want real advice, ask the biggest dude in your gym like I did. They actually know wtf they are talking about. Or go to an actual bodybuilding forum where the posters have a frickin clue wtf they are talking about.

Actually I'm 190lbs and do Muay Thai and Judo.

Low Weight/High Rep = Make your muscles bigger
Jackie Chan says otherwise, he always does low weight/high rep for lean muscle rather than big muscles.

Always been told in every health class and gym buddy i've had over the years that if you want to build mass you go high weight low rep (4-6 reps per set).

Mass = high weight/low rep
Dense = low weight/high rep

I don't take workout advise from anyone until I see pictures of them.

Having said that and not posting a picture let me add that the best way to see your six pack is getting low body fat (sup cardio). I see people all the time at the gym working the shit out of the ab machines then never running (or other cardio) then downing a 250 calorie gatorade.

You don't have to do cardio to get abs. Hell, if you want a great body you don't need cardio at all. Cardio doesn't care whether it burns muscle or fat, it doesn't matter. Weight training burns only fat.

Cardio is for stamina.

I didn't say you had to do cardio to get abs, I said you had to have low bodyfat... then suggested cardio. As that's a fast way to burn calories.

No, I'm not an internet warrior.

ps- You really need to get laid because you have some serious issues with over-aggression. I.e. Insecurity.

Why bother retorting him? Seriously, the FOH boards are great for getting opinions on games, movies, etc. But so many of the members here haven't actually accomplished much outside of gaming. So they will flame you to hell if you aren't living in your parents' basement and playing WoW 24/7 out of sheer jealousy. God forbid you are good at any endeavor outside of gaming.

I really disagree with that. I think the vast majority of people on this board are successful at things outside of video games... the problem is that many of them believe that they're the only ones that broke the mold from the stereotypical MMORPG player.

In fact, I think that doesn't even make sense, because there is no longer the "typical MMORPG player," just the stereotypical kind.

Ironhawk is that Dan Gable in your avatar? Nice...Talk about a workout beast.

While this is on workouts. I want to join a gym but 80 bucks a month here locally at Crunch is way to expensive for the amount of time I might spend in the gym.
Is there a better solution? Maybe i'll check out golds. The problem is SF has them everywhere and spread out.
