That field was horrible and the rain made it worse.

The replay on John Terry's kick his left foot planted for half a second before it started to slip and skid as he kicked. Not to mention all the slipping and cramping because of it. WTB a UEFA final on a good surface.

Craziness indeed. Glad Man U. won but what a shitty way to do it. Slip on a PK is not the way to go out. I feel bad for Terry, he deserves better. The game deserved a better playing surface.

On another note, fuck my DVR for cutting off right at 6pm and cutting off the last 4 PKs. I had to go to youtube to see how Man U won. I was convinced it was all over after Ronaldo missed. Color me surprised.

I am still seething because the best team did not win. The last few year's finals have been like this imo...sucks.

Drogba was stupid as hell to slightly slap Vidic. I have no idea how Chelsea decided who was going to take the PKs, but the order was all wrong. Ballack, Lampard, Beletti, Essien, Carvalho, then others. I have no idea why A. Cole and JT wanted to take a PK before people who have scored with their feet (though thankfully Cashley managed to get his in).

Ugh. Who knows how many more LFC semifinal defeats it will take us again to reach the Final.

One of the best moments for me was when Ronaldive failed to get his PK away.

you honestly believe chelsea was the better team? really? ya, they hit the post twice, but come on, its not like man u didn't have their own great chances. Man u looked fresher and better conditioned throughout the game. Ferdinand had a pretty awful game and Terry had a freaking amazing game up to the missed PK but i think in the end the fact that it went to PKs showed how close the two teams were. I really don't think you can definitively say that one team was better than the other.

It was an entertaining game to watch and got a lot of coverage in the US. As a person not rooting for either team i thoroughly enjoyed the champs league final.

It's like people watch games with these special goggles that turn off every time their team doesn't have the ball.
I was pretty shocked to see Chelsea score 1-1 when it really should of been 3-0 following some absolutely jaw dropping stuff from United, but it was nice to balance the game for 2nd half and it did just that otherwise it could of been a walkover.
Outside of Lampards twist and shot on goal, alot of Chelsea's chances weren't really threatening. Ballack, who started to play alot better and tighter to Scholes started the ball rolling but seriously, does he have have to take like 10 shots from 30+ yards?
Drogba did well mind you, he is strong and takes the long balls well when he was isolated, either to get fouled by Vidic or hold him up enough to get apass off. Vidic still never let him have his way though so it was decent fight. I just laughed when he got sent off because he had been complaining all game, few pretend injuries and a stupid incident at the end.

I think United really need a class finisher to be really a top club, because no matter how good Ronaldo is, he can't be the one to look for to grab a goal, he should be looked for to provide it. Giggs really should of done better against a nearly open goal to even give Terry the chance to clear it.
I said to myself last season I hoped that this season Rooney would blossom into a decent finisher aswell as all that he has, but might just be forever this way. He'll end up being the perfect replacement for Scholes heh.

Everyone likes Rooney

He has that "Lets get a pint and smash the glass over people's face" appeal.

Saha had potential but so fragile. I was a huge Alan Smith fanboy but he just wasn't the same after the injury.

Well, I think we all knew Grant was getting sacked even if he won the CL.

Silly transfer rumour of the day. Chelski bidding 50 million euros (believe) for Fernando Torres.

On another note, this was suggested on the goon board. If Torres played in MLS, how many goals would he score? Someone seriously suggested 115.

I say realistically including cup competitions, 97.
