| I like how during the post-match conference Grant was like "Yeah I had to make some substitutions to change the tactics and we were strategically better afterwards and my bringing on of so-and-so players really helped us tactically." From my point of view he was trying hard to tell everyone that he actually knows wtf he is doing and matches like the Carling Cup Final were flukes. What a fucking tard, gtfo. Although I am a Chelsea supporter I do feel for Liverpool. 95th minute goal conceding is harsh...but when its an own goal, ugh. I think this will be the year that Chelsea reaches the final...it is unrealistic to think that Liverpool will be the team to be the first in like 4 years to win at the Bridge. The game itself was typical boring Liverpool vs. Chelsea games...Cech played really well. Looking forward to Barca vs. Manure a lot more. Hopefully Messi pulls off another hand of god and then Manure can equalize after getting a penalty from Ronaldo diving...THAT will be awesome. |

| so which record breaks first? The bridge's unbeaten run or LP scoring at the bridge in the CL? p.s. go barca ~edit holy rough start for barca, 2 plays in and a penalty but then ronaldo flukes one for once...wow this should be a good one Last edited by Waedar : 04-23-2008 at 11:48 AM. |

| Not from the looks of that match. Granted Man U. probably went in defensive minded, but they looked terrible. They couldn't string passes together at all and looked like a run of the mill Premiership side. Really looking forward to the next match at Old Trafford to see if Man U. can come out and play their game. Barcelona did look good and dominated play but the finishing was atrocious. I always thought Ronaldo was too much of a diver, but Barca really take it to another level with Deco and Iniesta. Several yellows should have been handed out for flopping imo, Ronaldo included on some occasions. |

Should also point out (to counter all the fawning over Utd as seen below) that it is possible to go to the Nou Camp and win so maybe Utd could have showed more attacking initiative but still, theyre in a strong position now. Last edited by Ossoi : 04-23-2008 at 01:56 PM. | |

| I thought Man U played well. As soon as they lost the ball they shuffled back into formation and hardley let Barcelona create anything. @ Waedar - Why do you use the old Chelsea logo as your avatar? The new one is alot nicer ![]()

| Man Utd defended extremely well. the missed PK i think just destroyed their early game (ie they didnt start to look alive until the 40th or so for the 1st half) but honestly Barca could have done so much better. They dominated the first half and hardly ever had the ball back behind half yet everytime they got to the penalty box and last 1/3 it turned into "hay lets pass the ball XX times before trying a shot" and then there was the sever lack of service to their left side (sorry don't know players names here) messi and eto'o would run right and he and someone else would just be wide open. a few touches and a quick release would have tested van der sar a lot better and perhaps made him parry for a quick scoop up and goal @Telrem because the new/old crest is always on me and well its the crest from when i became a fan |

| Either Manure vs. Chelsea or Barca vs. Chelsea. I am hoping the latter because the former will be incredibly boring. If it is Barca vs. Chelsea I hope they deliver the kind of quality and entertainment from that CL game back in the 04-05 season...that was a classic. Ronaldo's ego is so huge that I doubt a penalty miss in a CL semi final away game will deflate it much. Hope Rijkaard starts with Henry in the 2nd leg because he can still be lethal to English clubs...and possibly other European clubs too (Barca should know first hand because Henry made them look like tools in Paris before Lehman got sent off). As much as I hate to admit it the Marquez incident was a pen. He didn't touch the ball and totally knocked Ronaldo over. Oh well, not like I am sorry for him. |
