| X-Games 13 Ok, I realize a lot of people might not watch this, but I think some guy just died on the big air skateboard. He landed a massive 720 and then on his way up the vert just totally skied it and plummeted about 35 feet straight to the ground and had a vicious landing. Fucking nasty looking. Anyways, good way to start the games off, keep posting if you watch this stuff. The ESPN live feed is fucking awesome also, it's just dudes talking over the video they don't even cut out for commercials it seems. Haha, he stood up and is still alive. Ridiculous. LOL, they are showing the replay, his shoes just blasted off his feet, fucking awesome. Last edited by Blumpster : 08-02-2007 at 06:55 PM. Reason: Holy fuck he's alive |

| I'll be interested once PLG comes back from that horrible injury to his knee (he's the skateboarder and a fucking god). But, I'll watch the skating stuff and maybe some BMX vert. I always found skateboarding to be the best part. |

| All he did was break his kneecap. Not nearly as severe as ACL/MCL surgery, which most knee surgeries that you're referring to are. He didn't even need any pins or screws, he was skating two months after. |

| How about the dude that bailed from 50 feet up? HIS FUCKING SHOES EXPLODED! Also, Big Air has an absurdly high bail rate. PLG still took bronze. Everyone had at least two terrible runs of 20 or lower except burnquist and Lasek (who had 4 50s). I'm a fanboy, what can I say. I still can't fucking WAIT for Vert (which I have to fucking Tivo due to work).

| Hahahaha, bad ass. I must've said OH SHIT about 20 times in a row after he did that. I figured he'd get like a 100 after pulling the 720, but damn, I can't believe he got up and walked after that shit. That's like a four or five story fall. |

| Yeah, was watching it & seriously thought he died when it happened. From the live angle it looked like he smashed his head on the ramp. Couldn't believe he got up from it, his tailbone has to be broken. On a related note, I wonder how long it will be until one of these guys dies on live tv. Between the big air skateboarding and the motocross nutjobs it's bound to happen eventually, the only question is when. |

| Same. I think it was something between 40 and 55 feet. On another note, the 720 he did OVER that ramp was unbelievable. As someone who's not religious, but the fact that he survived that with only a mild concussion is an act of god. |

| That was fucking nuts. I can't believe his shoes went flying off. So what exactly happened to this guy injury-wise? He looked like he got totally fucked up. Here is a better quality different angle of that disaster bail out: Tony Hawk (announcing) sounded like he laughed at the spill a first when he said "Oh man"
