Anyone here interested in starting an ESPN league? I could probably get a few people for a 10 person, or we could fill 10 here. I was thinking about starting one and if people are interested, I'll start one.

I would absolutely join, but my experience with espn last year was horrible. I'd recommend a yahoo league.

Totally. Let's get a live draft going today!

I did my first one last night of the year haha (not even august ftw). I showed up late and had Autopilot pick Larry Johnson and Tom Brady for me based off some of my pre rankings so can't complain. Team ended up pretty solid but got owned with Kevin Jones and Dominic Rhodes pick when I was pissing and playing madden (aka being retarded). I'll end up dropping them for a backup QB and another RB or maybe even TE hopefully.

Ok. Ill set it up today. edit: what day would be best for everyone? Sundays are terrible for me, monday night at like, 10 or 11 EST would work easily.

I would think a weekend day would be best maybe? But really we shouldn't have a draft for another few weeks. Maybe the weekend of the 4th pre-season game?

Haha yeah and he's holding out AND priest is at training camp. I would've taken Stephen Jackson probably at #2 but yeah like I said I showed up to my draft late.

4th preseason game is so far awaaaaay. I really like ESPN's draft, the scoring seems fair and they added a new RB slot this season. Should do one during a weekday imo, probably around 10est, gives PST folks a time to get home and shit and isn't too insanely late for EST folks.

Yeah but if we hold a draft much before that, there can be freak injuries and people get screwed even before the season starts.

Last year ESPN was bunk. They did update stats until like wednesday of every week, the scoring system didn't make a lot of sense, and it wasn't very clear exactly what people were getting points for. I've used yahoo now for 4+ years, and it's really a very simple system. Additionally, you can customize the league any way you want, how many players at each slot, the scoring system, etc... We could discuss how we want our league to be. I usually like smaller starting lineups, something along the lines of:

QB
RB
RB
RB/WR
WR
WR
TE
K
Def
(and maybe another WR/TE slot)

What do you guys think?

I figured 10 or 11 EST would work well FOR A weekday. I don't like weekends because people like to go out. Like I said, as for Yahoo or ESPN, it can be a group thing. I've used Yahoo in the past for baseball and football and ESPN for football. Whichever we all agree upon.

Should do it on a Sunday afternoon or evening. Anyone dedicated to fantasy football should be available to do it then. You don't have to do live drafts anyway.. you can just prioritize players and do an autodraft for those who can't be there.

I'm not around sundays :P. It's just from what I've noticed with this board is that everyone is around during the weeknights.
