| [CFB] College Football Preseason It's never too early to begin discussing football (and NFL training camps are beginning). What are your predictions for your team and the season in general? I grew up watching Hawaii and now go to school at Washington so they are my two teams to follow. Interestingly enough, they play each other at the end of the year, dunno who I'll cheer for though. I see UH having a great year, great QB and receivers, always-solid O-line, and a new D-coordinator that can replace Jerry Glanville capably. Unfortunately, their schedule is garbage to say the least, ESPN had them #2 on their weakest schedule behind Kansas, but that's being generous I think. Hopefully it doesn't hurt Colt's Heisman chances, though I'm sure it will. Predicting 10-2, probably end up in the Hawaii Bowl as usual since I don't really see the point of going to any other non-BCS bowl. Games that worry me are Boise State, at Nevada, and Washington .As for UW, they have the #1 schedule in the country - a brutal non-conference schedule and the Pac-10 is getting stronger and stronger. Our redshirt-freshman QB Jake Locker has been anointed as the savior, but I dunno how that's gonna work out. He definitely has the talent to do it. Hoping for a bowl game, which would probably make Willingham the Coach of the Year, but I just don't see it happening unless Locker goes nuts every game. Only game I feel confident we can win is Stanford, but we gave them their only win last year when the players quit on the coach. Predicting 4-9, another season that shows potential but the team just isn't there yet due to the schedule. Finally, the remarks Les Miles (LSU coach) made about USC's schedule (and general hating on the Pac-10). I've always felt that the SEC was the hardest conference, but I still think it's vastly overrated. Not to mention that SEC teams usually play creampuff teams in their non-conference games. Here were his exact words: Quote:

| Being from NJ I'm a Rutgers fan, we went from the joke of the NCAA to a Top 25 team last season Now this year we have to prove that last season wasn't a fluke, we'll see what happens

| Pac-10 represent~ I'm a UCLA fan, never went there but raised in a family with strong UCLA ties. I do have season tickets to the Rose Bowl though. Have had them since 94 or 95 (I'd have to check, can't quite remember). I see UCLA with maybe 9 wins this year if we're lucky but more like 7-8. Their defense will be strong again this year but the offense still has some work. If we can take USC again that'll be good enough for me but I don't forsee anyone in the Pac-10 stopping them this year. >< |

| We bawlin boi! | Being a WVU grad, I cant help but have high hopes for my Mountaineers this year. They should be even better this year, and if they can pull off a win against Lousville and Rutgers (what a year last year), it should be pretty clear sailing as long as they blow the rest of the people out. Pitt is always scary and you never know what team of theirs will show up. I can't help but find it hilarious that after Miami, VT, and BC all left, the Big East has still fielded top 20 teams who are doing better than those schools. Of course the perennial powerhouse teams look to be good again this year, but Im pretty stoked for the season to get kicked off. Go Mountaineers! |

| Fresno St. Bulldogs here...god did last year suck ass. Worst Off. Cord. I've ever seen and a QB that wasn't ready to be starter. We'll probably go 7-5, either upset Nevada at Nevada or pulling off a close home win against Boise. Well go 6-2 in the WAC and end up in second place AGAIN.

| Ive watched Boise state for the past few seasons, they arent my favorite but I like them more then hometown OSU. But ill say OSU will probably end up in the #8-5 seed at the end of the season. I wouldnt doubt tho in a few years you will see Boise State in a Rose bowl or the other top bowl games (dont hold your breathe on a NC) And I think the Big Ten championship will come down to OSU v Micihgan or even Penn State possibly shaking things up |

| I am a BC Eagles fan. How can you not be with all the tradition? Like: Flutie's hail mary pass. Or... The Huge Upset over #1 raked ND A week after Notre Dame's "Game Of The Century" win over then #1 ranked Florida State, BC dominated for four quarters then fell behind after ND scored three touchdowns in 11 minutes. In the end, BC won on a last second field goal to knock the Irish out of the #1 ranking, a 41-39 loss that would keep ND from winning the national championship. And so on... Last year BC finished 20th witch I guess is okay. They are still pretty new to the ACC and this year's schedule looks pretty tough. At ND and VT but play Miami and FSU at BC in November when it is cold. Also play some decent teams like NC state, MD, Wake, GT, and Clem. Could either be a good year or a very shitty year. Hopefully BC aka O-Line U can get a solid run game and get some wins together. Last year: AP Top 25 1. Florida (64) 13-1 1,624 2. Ohio State 12-1 1,492 3. LSU 11-2 1,452 4. USC 11-2 1,389 5. Boise State (1) 13-0 1,383 6. Louisville 12-1 1,338 7. Wisconsin 12-1 1,288 8. Michigan 11-2 1,145 9. Auburn 11-2 1,112 10. West Virginia 11-2 1,035 11. Oklahoma 11-3 933 12. Rutgers 11-2 884 13. Texas 10-3 772 14. California 10-3 697 15. Arkansas 10-4 677 16. Brigham Young 11-2 673 17. Notre Dame 10-3 553 18. Wake Forest 11-3 551 19. Virginia Tech 10-3 407 20. Boston College 10-3 353 21. Oregon State 10-4 291 22. TCU 11-2 279 23. Georgia 9-4 204 24. Penn State 9-4 183 25. Tennessee 9-4 181 Boston College 2007 Football Schedule September 1 Wake Forest September 8 North Carolina State September 15 at Georgia Tech September 22 Army September 29 Massachusetts October 6 Bowling Green October 13 at Notre Dame October 25 at Virginia Tech November 3 Florida State November 10 at Maryland November 17 at Clemson November 24 Miami (FL) Can't wait for football to finally start. BTW are there preseason rankings anywhere?

| FINALLY someone made cfb thread. it's gonna be an exciting season. my buckeyes need to make up for the embarrassment in glendale. they'll probably start at preseason #10-12, should go 8-0 up to their last three games, which i'm predicting 1-2 losses. my hopes are at least BCS game. their first test though is UW on the road on sept30. usc should clean house, but it'll be exciting to watch if louisville or wvu can go all the way. michigan and wisc might be there, too. edit: yea, OSU plays a D-1AA as their first game (youngstown state), but it's because tressel used to coach there. playing ohio state will very much help their athletics program. he also donated $1mil to them earlier this year.
