On a college football note I just lost to Ohio state in the 09 NC game as Boise State 13-7 it ended up beating my previous #1 espn classic which was when I won the Fiesta bowl in 07 with Boise vs Florida 27-21 anyone else in a dynasty in NCAA 07? Im gonna try to take them to another NC game but if I dont im gonna sign with a crappy team and work them up.

what does everyone think about michigan's preseason ranking? think it's deserved? i can't decide. they have henne and hart, but those two could never pull it off vs tressel and smith. with smith gone, it will be a great game this year.

Haha it's so funny you talk about that because a few years ago I played NCAA 05 with BC and had a 10 year dynasty where they didn't lose a single game and I had it on the most difficult setting. I turned BC into an option team too. After the 2nd national championship I got the sickest recruits and I was an instant NCAA powerhouse and no team really posed a challenge to me. I decided to keep playing until I lost a game. In the 10th year of my reign both BC and USC were undefeated and I played USC in the Rose Bowl for the national championship. It was the sickest video football game I ever played. The computer was unstoppable for some reason. I think the computer was pissed me for running up the score on it for 10 seasons and now it wanted revenge. USC scored on every possession it the first 3 quarters and there D was nasty too, I had to punt a few times. I was down 18 points going into the 4th quarter and I started a massive comeback. I started to shut down their offense and I came back with a last second 30yd pass into the corner of the endzone. Then I had to go for 2 because previously I botched a 2 point conversion. I play action faked and right before my QB got sacked I lobbed it to my money receiver in the endzone for the tie. So the game went to OT with a score of 50-50. At this point I had to pause the game because my hands were sweaty. For 10 seasons I really had no challenge and this game was the best I had played. I started off with the ball first and they stuffed me 3 stright plays and I had to kick a fg, but instead I went for it and the option play came through and I was stuffed on the goal line. Next play I jammed it in behind the FB and kicked the XP. Now USC had the ball. And they scored in 1 play with a pass right into the endzone. They lined up to kick the XP and I called time out. I switched out one of my linemen and put in my go to receiver who was like 6 foot 8 and super fast. I put him behind 2 linemen and timed the snap perfectly, and somehow blocked the XP try. BC wins 57-56 in OT vs USC. Best game of video game football I have played vs the CPU. I must also note that by the 2nd quarter my roommates had seen that I was losing and had started to cheer for USC in the 2nd half (These are BC grads and die hard USC fans). They were talking so much trash and I think it is what turned my game around. The end of the game was crazy because I was screaming back at them and they couldn't believe what just happened.

After that game I never have played another game of NCAA Football vs the computer, I now only occassionally play my friends but they always make me give them huge point spreads. To this day I still remember all the details of that game, just like it was a real game (I know it's sad). The computer was on God mode or something and I took it down.

PS: The Sports Guy calls this the:

The No F-ing Way Game:
The game where you've won too many games in a row during a season, and the PlayStation activates that "There's no f------ way you're winning this game" chip.

I won.

Though don't give the illusion that this is a notable game on OSU's schedule. This is a gimme, and in part one of the reasons they were ranked in the Top 10 weakest football schedules of 2007.

yea it's a def gimmie. tressel tries to get another ohio school on the schedule almost every season. actually they played marshall a couple years back, too. a ~52yard FG won them the game haha.

osu's 1st test is away at washington on sept30.

edit: game is sept15.

They still have manningham as well, don't they? As per usual Ohio State and Michigan beat one another, then Penn state, or Wisconsin and don't lose to a bunch of droolers and get themselves into contention. Sigh.

I'd like to see USC face the SEC champion this year. We'll see if Tebow/Harvin can manage to get my Gators back there or not. Arkansas can still make a run, and LSU has a great team but I think people are overrating their unproven players.

I'd like to see SC against an SEC team for the title too. It would help at least a little with some of the debate over the last 4-5 years. Not much of course since players change so much but it would be a big part of the discussion leading up to the game you can bet.

USC would go undefeated or 12-1 in the SEC. They have more talent and better coaching than any team in the SEC.

They choked in both those games, I'll give you that. However, they have a Heisman favorite QB, like 6 or 7 HS All-American RBs, and return 10 of 11 starters on the best defense Pete Carroll has ever had. As far as the coaching, Pete Carroll has more NC rings (as a head coach) than any active coach in the SEC as far as I know (only one I'm not sure about is Phil Fulmer, and I'm pretty sure he only has one). Arkansas won the SEC West last year and, as I recall, their game against USC (at Arkansas) didn't go so well for the Razorbacks.

Edit: USC also consistently has better recruiting classes than SEC teams. Unfortunately, USC and the SEC's best teams (Florida and LSU) haven't played anyone of consequence in a big-game setting in recent years, so it's hard to say for sure. All three of those teams have played vastly overrated teams in their NC/BCS bowl games. But to say that it's impossible for USC to go undefeated in the SEC is just wrong and is yet another example of SEC arrogance.

Ohio State was overrated? They were undefeated leading into the title game and played 3 #2 ranked teams in a season. I'm pretty sure they earned their spot.
