| 4-4 for the SEC schedule. I'm sure it won't matter if they went to Troy or not. Looking around, OSU has 7 home games and 5 road. So does WVU. Florida has 4 road games. Georgia is 7-5 too. USC is the only team with half and half of the preseason favorites. So yeah, that's certainly going to help them if it's close.

+18 Internets | The SEC is rough but that schedule is not near as bad as I thought. Lately you guys usually do well at War Memorial (oddly enough Hogs do good in Baton lol). Fla Bama and GA is really the only games (not even Tenn) to be concerned with. And 2 of those are home. If your QB situation is normal you WILL take the west. Fuck your 2 toughest games are teams in the East. |

I just wanted to point out that under the Carr tenure *most* offensive lineman slow/puggy and couldn't run except to the buffet. Andy Moeller (a Carr crony) couldn't coach the line to save his ass. I won't go too in depth, but UM's outstanding offensive lines have become shells of their former selves and only have a few shining lights (e.g. Jake Long). So when RR came in and started running pretty much a non huddle offense, most of our offensive linemen ran outta dodge. I believe Boren was just used to being coddled by Moeller and didn't have to work to get his starting job because of how poor our line was on the ride side (zone left, anybody?). Between Barwis (new S&C coach) and the new system there's been a lot of attrition, but I see it as nothing more than positive. I realize that means UM is not going to have much experience going into next year, but with a new system experience would only marginally help to begin with. I think UM will do fine under RR and am hoping for the best. -T

+1 Internets | Boren was Big Ten good(All Big Ten last year if I recall)... But that doesn't mean shit in the RR regime. Its a new ballgame at Michigan. The best thing we(Michigan) got out of the RR acquisition is his strength and conditioning(and a movement into the modern era of football). Back in the beginning Bo days a lot of players left because the transition was simply too much for them...I don't expect this to be much different. |

| We bawlin boi! | The only thing bad about Barwis is he is too insane, and does a lot of shit thats unnecessary at skill positions. WVU S&C had like 15 S&C associated (weight training) hamstring injuries last season, which is a warning signal that hes overdoing it for some exercises. Granted, our #1 wr Darius Reynaud blew the doors off people at the combine by squatting like 705 or something, but when you have QBs and WRs being sidelined with those kind of injuries, its a bit excessive. Michigan players before were pussies though, no offense, with their bowflex (not even kidding) S&C program stuff. That is all gone with Barwis, he reminds me of the Jim Carey SNL bit with the Ride the Snake insane guy. Ryan Mundy, who was a 4 year starter at Michigan came to WVU in a special 5th year eligibility loophole this season and was spectacular, but said he was floored by how much harder our S&C program was, especially running. Say what you want Dumar, RR is a fucking dick and throws F bombs around constantly and belittles people, but that team WILL be in far better football conditioning than OSU is used to seeing. RR will bring a country boy hardwork ethic that might not mesh with the snobby wine and cheese atmosphere up in AA, but thats a good thing for the football team. Question is, will he get time to get the players. Michigan fans are a fucking hoot. Have you been reading any msg boards since Terrelle Pryor announced for Ohio St? Michigan fans are saying he wasnt smart enough to attend (hi 3.5gpa), that his attitude wouldnt fit (with RR? those two are made for each other...), and that they didn't want him anways. The kid has an ego, but if any of you (and I doubt you did) watched the Army all american game, he made everyone else on that field look stupid comparatively, including overshadowing McGuffie and everyone else who were said to be superstars....he looked like a man amongst boys. RR is hurting bad over not getting him, because as an athlete there is no questioning what he can do on pure physical skills alone without a solid S&C program and great coaching. Given time, Michigan could turn into a powerhouse, but I guess it boils down to what cost. RR is an egomaniac, several players have now quit or decided to not return....that aura of pride is getting tarnished bit by bit...guess it boils down to the ends justifying the means.

+1 Internets | Even if RR only stays 3 years...IMO it will be worth it to have revitalized parts of the Wolverine program. And if he gets the time to build a team...Well, with the quality level of recruits...It will be something to see. |

I don't read any Michigan message boards, I imagine when the announcement was made it was a lot like WVU boards when RR announced he was leaving.
