| White possibly (he should come back, he won't get the money based on this season that he could get with a better next season) and Devine.

| We bawlin boi! | WVU loses 6 or 7 starters on defense, this is the real loss as that D line was incredible and dominated OUs line all game with speed. WVU returns almost the entire offense including Pat White (said he was staying already, not sure of Slaton...but Devine is better imo), Devine, and the entire offensive line. We only lose Schmitt and maybe our WR Reynaud if he leaves for the NFL draft early (Reynaud is weighing his options), all the other WRs are young and will be here for a couple more years.

As for the coach, when Jim Grobe, Mike Tomlin of the Steelers, Stoops, and the entire team of guys like Pat White endorses you....your AD should listen. Grobe: "I don't know if you'll find anybody who loves West Virginia University and the state more than Bill Stewart," Grobe said in an unsolicited recommendation. "They'd hit a home run with that guy. You think of a guy who can galvanize kids and keep things moving forward. ... I know there are a lot of political things that influence those decisions. But as far as football things and leading the program, you can't find a better guy." Tomlin: "I just think the world of him," said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, whose first coaching job after William & Mary College was as a graduate assistant for Stewart. "They're not going to do any better as a coach or a man." Stoops: Stoops said at a Fiesta Bowl Press conference when looking over at WVUs athletic director, Ed Pastilong before the game, "It's time you took the interim out of his title". Cant get much better glowing recommendations, and on the job performance.

| I think they made a hasty decision. He may turn out to be good, but it's risky and he is unproven. He could set you back 2-3 years or more if he is a flop.

| We bawlin boi! | Well, Twobit, the guy they originally wanted, Jimbo Fisher stayed at FSU. Next guy was going to be Terry Bowden, with 10 years being out of coaching would be risky as well. Its a tough call, but Stewart was one of our best recruiters, so I think we will be fine. Hes got very strong ties, is the guy who got Slaton here, and has most of our top recruits this year as guys he recruited. I guess we will see, I think the feeling around WVU is cautious optimism. Steelers' Tomlin cheered by former boss Stewart's hiring at WVU | AP | 01/03/2008 Good article.

| From what I am hearing, he is a people guy. He is good with the players. He is nice. He is the guy the players can go to after Rich chewed them a new asshole to be consoled and reassured. These are great qualities to have in a coordinator, but a head coach needs to be able to lay down the law and that's not something he has shown he can do. It's easy to see why players may support him, think he is a good choice. He is their guy. Let's just hope he has the cajones to stand up to them when he must.

| We bawlin boi! | Fair enough. Btw, I hope Auburn doesnt try that cheap shit on us next year. Did you see that nasty cut block against Clemson? Same shit Auburn did to Dorsey? Its been a pattern with this team all season long. I think that penalty needs to involve an ejection, its possibly season ending.....fuck 15 yards.

| That cheap shot on Dorsey completely changed LSU's season. The defense went from stellar to average on that one play.

+19 Internets | wtb a season where only part of it matters. "the usc team vs illinois would destroy any cfb team this year" "the georgia team of the second part of the season would destroy any cfb this year" has nobody learned anything from one of the craziest years in football? You (we) don't know shit. |

| my comment was about the previous post of dorsey's injury. that and other injuries made the difference very clear between games. i think half the country wanted to see uga vs usc. that would have been a fantastic game. instead we get 3 bcs blowouts. if kansas whips ass in the second half we'll have 4 bcs blowouts. that's just fucking retarded. i'm not gonna assume lsu will stomp osu into ground because of the injuries. |
