+20 Internets | yeah... no offense but it doesn't surprise me you only watch the playoffs (if even) and seems like you only watch the sportscenter highlights because the game (unless you're watching ricky davis or something) isn't nearly as selfish or dunk crazy as you're making it. I also question how much you watch NCAA basketball because while the fans are always legit, the players sure haven't really displayed anything to show me they want to win for their school more than an NBA players does for him team. If it was really about the school and not them why do I almost never see a senior who has talent suit up? Of course there will be exceptions to the rule (again ricky davis). But when the Spurs, Pistons and Mavericks have been the dominant teams of recent and the MVPs (dirk, duncan, nash, garnett) since 2001 years are total team players (infact one of them being a PG) I'm question your bitterness. NCAA basketball sucks until march unless your team is always on the bubble. Losses mean nothing (problem with keeping the NBA interesting too if your team is fighting over a playoff spot) and so its just cruise control until rivalry games (unc/duke = leet) and march madness. |

Congratulations to Greg Willard, Tim Donaghy and Eddie F. Rush for giving us the most atrociously officiated game of the playoffs so far: Game 3 of the Suns-Spurs series. Bennett Salvatore, Tom Washington and Violet Palmer must have been outraged that they weren't involved in this mess. Good golly. Most of the calls favored the Spurs, but I don't even think the refs were biased -- they were so incompetent that there was no rhyme or reason to anything that was happening. Other than the latest call in NBA history (a shooting foul for Ginobili whistled three seconds after the play, when everyone was already running in the other direction), my favorite moment happened near the end, when the game was already over and they called a cheap bump on Bruce Bowen against Nash, so the cameras caught Mike D'Antoni (the most entertaining coach in the league if he's not getting calls) screaming sarcastically, "Why start now? Why bother?" What a travesty. Not since the cocaine era from 1978-1986 has the league faced a bigger ongoing issue than crappy officiating. Added bold for the best specific example from this game. | |

So one specific example that influenced the POINT SPREAD, not the outcome of the game? Good job Dark.

| As much as I hate to agree with a Suns fan, I think I'm going to have to. Do I think the Spurs were the better team? Damn straight. Do I know that for a fact? Nope. Because the NBA suffers from the worst officiating in sports history. They decide the outcome of games on a daily basis in the NBA and the league does NOTHING to fix it. The NBA refs are the most incompetent/bias/corrupt/grudge holding officials in all of sports. They have ruined the NBA and dragged it down to the point that it is just barely more watchable than WWE wrestling. |

| Stern fixed the 2007 lottery hardcore. The #1 pick was rewarded for the Blazers getting rid of their dumbfucks and remaining in Portland. The #2 pick was engineered for the Sonics to ensure they would remain in Seattle. Just the way Stern wants it.

| Alot of us Cavs fans were pretty pissed in game 2 or 3 when Lebron got clearly fouled (the camera was just in perfect position to see it) and no foul was called, it even seemed like the guy on the spurs that fouled him thought it was gonna get called right away because he just started walking back but realized nothing was called and went on his way. Cavs coach mike brown was throwing a fit the rest of the game because of it, not like it wouldve matter but atleast we probably wouldnt have been swept ;p |

| There is no internets | please... read the article next time before you post. edit: Just so I can make my position clear: No one knows anything yet about Game 3 of the Spurs vs. Suns other than ALL THREE refs blew a lot of calls, one key call is the late foul on Ginobili made by the ref under investigation. Spurs were favored to win by 4 as the article stated, they ended up winning by more than 4. No one knows if he bet money on the game that he officiated, this one in particular. We probably wont know, unless there is a leak for quite some time, EVEN then we wont know by how much did this ONE ref influence the score on the game. Was it enough to cover the spread, or was it enough to make the Suns lose? Seriously, Suns fans need to relax, and start moving foward with their life. Nothing is going to change the outcome of the game REGARDLESS of what happens, that is my point. So stop fucking whining about the Suns, and the Spurs. If it was shitty reffing, guess what guys, that isnt changing next season. Then again, it is a free country, so whine some more if it is theraputic for you.

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Aye. He has a point though. You never know what happened and now it's a black cloud that will hang over this season especially. I also think Bill is right that something like this NEEDED to happen. The league just isn't interesting anymore. Hopefully they'll try to fix things now. |
