| We bawlin boi! | Hearing more of this story on ESPN, it really looks bad for Vick. Apparently in the document, the government already has 4 witnesses they are ready to call which will personally place him at the property when some of these things are going on. The big thing in the case which is really scary for Vick is the conspiracy charge. Vick has 3 co-defendants who will be going to trial with him. The conspiracy charge basically means all 3 of those peoples actions will be able to be added on to Vick personally, making him a co-conspirator with those folks making it exponentially bad. Considering the government is going to want to nail Vicks ass, I would bet the bank that they offer a deal to those 3 guys to testify against him to lessen their charges. |

| I've been a Falcons fan for many, many years now. I've seen a lot of quarterbacks come and go on this team. Out of all of them, Vick is one of the least talented guys to ever put on the uniform. Sure, he can run. Big deal. He sure as hell can't pass worth a damn, and I don't think there is an offensive coordinator alive (or dead) who can change that. We've had plenty of other quarterbacks over the years who were MUCH better at the position than he ever will be (Chris Miller, Jeff George, Chris Chandler, etc...). They were just surrounded by less talent in their times (Chandler and Miller had a couple good runs each, when they weren't concussed). The opposite is the case here with Vick. We have some very talented guys on offense, who suffer because this goofball is the QB. That year where we made it to the 2004 NFC championship was mostly because Dunn/Duckett carried the ball so much. Our rush defense wasn't half bad that year either. Unless Shockley or Harrington really have a surprise year, this is gonna be a losing season here in Atlanta. Would've been with Vick at the helm anyway. Schaub will be good in Houston, assuming they get some people on that o-line who don't suffer from narcolepsy. Like what happened during the Carr years. |

| I don't have words for how horrified I am about some of the things Vick and his friends are alleged to have participated in. I'm not prepared to rush to judgement until the whole story is known, but it certainly doesn't look good for him, and... Fuck. Those poor dogs. ![]() |

| I hope he gets dropped from the NFL over this ruckus(provided he is guilty of course....which it doesnt look good thus far). Wanted to point something out about back up qbs...it is all fine and dandy until you become the starter full time. The pressure increases. Not saying Schaub will turn out bad in Houston, but has the potential to be a Scott Mitchell(another wonderfull move Det made acquiring this back up from Miami several yrs ago). Also even if he is good(which he appears to be accurate(hell anyone is compared to Vick)), there is still the O line in Houston to worry about. Granted yr 2 of the Kubiak regime should be better, but there is no guarantee. Going back to the draft carr/harrington was taken, I still would of taken Carr. Perhaps he will get a chance elsewhere, as I feel he got gun shy about all the sacks. |

| Heh Nike just announced that the new Vick shoes will go on sale as planned in August. His troubles have not changed their marketing and merchandising plans at all. Gonna be interesting if the shoe sells well.

Culpepper's biggest problem is that he is his own agent; that means in between rehab and practice, he is making phone calls and talking to teams' management. Little wonder why there are rumors of him not rehabbing well; he's spreading himself too thin.

AM Radio Sports shows are critical of owners and managers decisions?!? Wow that almost never happens and must truly mean that Atlanta Fans as a whole are sick of Vick. Last edited by The Ancient : 07-19-2007 at 10:22 AM.

| Wow. I guess they got some backlash today after announcing they would release it this morning.

Having said that, Vick is sure to be bummed about this, he had a video out explaining how proud he was to have this shoe, and how proud he was of this shoe.
