They were never taking this seriously. This 'contest' has zero implication on any of these people. It's like a radio station doing the March Madness of Rock or something. Pink Floyd or whoever wins isn't going to get a big fat check from FM104 because of it.

Apparently Greeny, Jessica Biel, and Kevin James are the panelists for round 2? Yah, this thing has officially lost all credibility as any kind of worthwhile programming. I did know the panelists got 10% of the votes each, but I didn't watch the show where they were voting on Roger/Tony, did they actually vote for Tony Parker??? Did the sports columnist vote for Roger at least?

Wow I thought the winner got a trophy and the cover of ESPN...

Sarcasm! Then what's the big deal? It's 10 minutes a day of some people talking about 2 athletes. Not directed specifically at you but at anyone calling this a crock or terrible programming. If you want to disagree with their choices, fine.. but who cares if they are doing this? I actually prefer this to another 10 minutes of talking about the Yankees.

Oh I'm with you. I prefer this over hearfelt shit or them talking about the red sox. I'm mainly bashing the seeding/athletes chosen and the panelist moreso than the show itself.

Except every time I turn it on ESPN, it's on the stupid "Who's Now" segment. It seems like it's on for 10 hours, not 10 minutes.

ESPN's page 2 actually had a really nice list of the "hardest" sports with some fairly insightful ranking awhile back.

Here it is, dunno if it's all available but it makes for interesting debate

So rugby is less demanding softball?

I'm going to have to question those rankings.

I think that mostly got lumped in with baseball.

The list isn't about which sport is the most physically demanding. It takes into account mental shit too. But I agree, that's one that was a bit off. Just too damn much standing around in baseball.

ESPN is basically devoid of anything that could pass for analysis today, with the notable exception of Ron Jaworski breaking down defenses on Edge NFL Matchup.

ESPN exists mainly for three things these days:
-Flashy graphics
-Stuart Scott sounding ghetto
-Daily administration of verbal blowjobs to Derek Jeter

Was kind of shocking to see that shaq and phelps were so close in voting percentage.

I like to call him Derek "Just Past A Diving" Jeter to piss Yankee fans off.

He is easily the most overrated player in baseball, if not in all of sports.

I don't get ESPN, and didn't see this, but if Sidney Crosby isn't right the fuck up there, then it's a fucking joke. He's been under a goddamn microscope since he was 10 years old, labeled as the next Gretzky, and the little fucker is living up to every little last bit of the hype. I guess hockey isn't the sexy sport in the US these days, but Crosby deserves mad props for how well he's handled himself both on and off the ice.

If it was WHO'S NEXT it'd have been Crosby. I mean Crosby's future is "so bright he's got 3rd degree burns" but Jeter is the Yankees captain (therefore on tv everyday) and has a handful of championship rings. So even if Jeter isn't even the best SS on his own team, I'd have to vote for him regarding who is RIGHT NOW.
