| Tour De France 2007 I have a strange addiction to watch the race every year. I have it set to record on Vs. every morning and this has been a pretty exciting start to the Tour this year. Today's stage was pretty crazy towards the end with the "break" imploding just a few km's at the end. Can't wait till the mountain stages later in the week!

I do miss Lance however, nothing got me more excited then the year he had Ulrich on his wheel going up Alp Duez(I think) he looked back over his shoulder at Ulrich as if to say "Im going, are you coming with me?" and then proceeded to stomp on the gas and rode away from Ulrich. Amazing! This year will be the sprinter Showcase.

| I stopped watching the Tour when I realized the goal is not to finish first, but to finish first without getting caught cheating. This sport is so corrupted with doping I just can't be amazed by the performances of the guys.

| Every sport has their cheaters especially baseball which is full of them. Barry Bonds breaking the homerun record...what a fucking joke. Back on topic...Nothing too exciting today in Stage 4 today. A couple wrecks and the peloton got back up to speed today. Will we ever see a break make it to the end of a stage again or are those days long gone?

| Flecha has gone out a couple of times...but for whatever reason he seems to pick the wrong time, or the wrong guys to ride with. http://www.dailypeloton.com here is where I get updates from the tour. They have a pretty good live race blog going on.

Yesterdays stage, the first real one this year was pretty exciting. Michael Rogers was riding to win the Tour until his crash. So sad. Rasmussens a gun and awesome to watch. He's definitely up there with Pantani. But surely he cant win because he cant time trial. So with rogers gone, its wide open. I dont think Vinokourov or Kloden can come back unless they get some Llandis style drugs happening. So that leaves Valverde, Moreau?!, Evans (as much as I'd like to see him win, I cant see him doing any damage on the steeper gradients) and perhaps Menchov & Sastre. At the moment I have to bet with Valverde. If only Rogers didnt crash... ![]() | |

| The last two days on the tour have been grueling. I get worn out just from watching them climb those mountains. I honestly don't know who is going to win. It's really wide open. I was hoping T-mobile would defend Linus's yellow jersey, but I bet they wish they did now. It was pretty heart wrenching to see Rodgers abandoned the race. Have to feel bad for the guy, they work their asses off to be able to compete in the race.

I'd still like to hold onto hope for George, he watched over Lance all those years and I think he has a decent shot this year. However, either Levi or Hincapie have yet to put in a major effort to grab the yellow. I'd like to think they are saving something for the Pyrenees. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

| Stage 8 was pretty wretched for the Aussies... Rogers crashing out from an excellent position, Stuart O'Grady crashing and having to get carted off in an Ambulance, Robby McQwen not making the elimination time... at least Cadel Evans managed to hang on in the final climb and stay in contention. Rasmussen is a climbing freak, I love watching mountain stages with him as he will always be in there mixing it up. He's a crap time-trialer but there's every chance he could pull out another couple big wins on the mountain stages and overcome his TT deficit. Stage 9 tonight should be good... last moutnain stage of the alps, two NC climbs and the riders comming off a rest day should be fresh and looking to attack. |

| I really, really love the Tour, but it is once again ruined for me. Vino was just caught for blood doping and his entire team withdrew. Vino and Kloden were two of my favorite riders too. Tour de France 2007: Vinokourov tests positive; Astana withdraws from Tour |
