| Potential for a 5-way tie in the NL requiring a week of playoffs would be epic.

| today was a great day my friends. however, the best part of today was not the phillies winning the NL east. the best part of today was seeing the look on the faces of all those filthy, ugly mets fans (the ones who were stupid enough to stay after the 1st inning anyway) as their beloved team became officially recognized as one big steaming pile of shit (even though some of us have known this for a long time). i know i saw at least one person crying. if i had my choice of going to see the phils win today (for the record i went to the vs. braves games tuesday and wednesday night, thursday night i tried to buy tickets for all three of this weekend's games but they were all sold out... goddamn bandwagon jumpers) or being at shea to heckle those pathetic mets i would take the mets game hands down. tom glavine, you know what to do... |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | As a Phillies fan and seeing as how you support one of the worst franchises in baseball history (please don't make me run down your never-ending list of chokes), you have no right to bash Mets fans who are pretty much as blue collar as Phillies fans. Now if you want to rail Yankees fans, fine. But Mets fans are much better than Yankee fans. Colorado is going to take care of business tomorrow and they're easily the most dangerous team in the NL. They play great defense, they pitch well, and boy can they hit. |

+5 Internets | Except the Padres are going with Jake Peavy, the runaway NL Cy Young winner. If Jake is on, they have no chance. Let's see... #1 ERA - 2.36. The next closest is over 3.0 #1 Wins (NL) - 19 #3 S.O. - 234. If he'd had his normal numbers for his last start, he'd have led the NL in strike outs too. The Rockies only hope tomorrow is if the Padres can't hit.

Whatever, the DBacks have the best record, but the Cubs will probably win the NL. The NL is better this year in some ways, but when it comes to matching up against AL teams, I think the Cubs are the only team that has a chance. Colorado is a hot team, but they're really a home team and I don't think they can string together enough road wins to win a 7 game series. They can win a 5 game series against Philly easily simply because Philly just doesn't have great pitching, but against a team like the Cubs where they'd have to play 4 at Wrigley, I don't see it happening.

and lets not forget how those dickless pieces of shit decided to postpone a game at shey earlier in the season for "rain" when not a single drop of rain fell from the sky. whatever really happened was the fightin phils were on the warpath and they knew damn well they were about to get steamrolled in that trashcan they call a stadium and ending up getting a cheap win on the exhausted phils on the late side of double header. i would have a few choice words about your accusation of "worst franchise in baseball history" but considering you chose the rockies to beat jake peavy tomorrow i get the impression that you don't know dick and you are likely a bed wetting, met-loving freakshow.

Seriously, 1) You just made a pretty racist statement regarding Italians which pissed me off. 2) It's real fucking classy to dump beer on some kid's heads. 3) Most Met fans are from Queens buddy. The Yankee fans are from Jersey. Get your fact straight. 4) Please keel over and fucking die along with the rest of the ignorant assholes in your shithole city. If not for NJ, Philadelphia would be America's armpit.

| Is there even a question that Philly fans are some of the most pathetic in all of sports? Hell, this is the city that fucking booed Santa Claus. Seriously. Fuck Philly.

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | They're very close to Yankee fans as far as live crowds. I've seen some really pathetic crowds (although Boston is sinking by booing Drew before he steps into the box. Nice to see he's FINALLY coming on). He's hit .342 in September and honestly, he's always been an avg guy (only 1 30 homer season in his career) and he's got 4 HRs and 18 RBIs in September. I've ragged on JD Drew a lot, but if he comes on in October and stays hots, then I hope Boston fans have enough pride to cheer him (they seemed to calm down a bit since Varitek literally plead to fans to stop booing him all the time). Philly fans just bug the fuck out of me. For whatever reason, Eagles fans aren't nearly as bad as Phillies fans. Phillies fans have this sense of blind accomplishment that they think they have, but doesn't really exist. They're essentially Yankee fans without the rings which means they're a bunch of cock suckers (For the record, due to their lack of accomplishment, modern Yankee fans have absolutely no reason to act smug to anyone). So if you're a Phillies fan, please, wait till you actually win a world series and as far as monumental collapses go, don't forget when you guys blew a 6.5 game lead with 12 to play WITH a 7 game home stand. Not only that, but you had lost the division before the final two days. So you essentially blew a 6.5 game lead in 10 games, 7 of which started at home. Or perhaps I could bring up the World Series against Toronto? This Mets team was destined for trouble. They had no pitching and while it's true no one could predict Reyes going on 60 point avg slide (I believe he finished at like .278 for the season when in mid august he was at or above .330), they had NO pitching and they were old. I know plenty of people who weren't surprised by their collapse (myself included). Boston's was a bit different because I truly believe they've been in cruise control since late June. Once they finally had to win games, they turned it on and won 7 of 10 down the stretch. That's very dangerous, but now it looks Francona is a genius (which he shouldn't because he nearly blew the fucking division, but we won so I'll let it slide) with giving Manny the month off that he really didn't need and resting our starters. So, fuck Phillies fans and let's enjoy the playoffs. Predictions anyone? Indians over Cubs in 6. |

| A Boston fan complaining about another team's fanbase is delicious irony. Red Sox/Pats fans are without a doubt the most obnoxious in sports, that's not even a debatable point. It's bad enough that the biggest Boston homer of them all (Bill Simmons) is writing articles trying to convince himself that the new 'Red Sox Nation' is actually a good thing. |
