| ESPN - Ex-Red Sox player Kapler eyes return to playing - MLB I love Gabe, but I'm suspicious after reading the above. Anybody think Kapler took a year off to avoid testing positive for steroids, or that the Sox pushed him out for a bit for the same reason? |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Toronto is fucking hot right now. Up 2-0 on the Yanks top 8. Boston is up, but still early being top 6 (3-1) edit: 4-0 Jays. That's probably it.

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Anyone else watching the Yanks game find it MILDLY suspicious that Aaron Hill doesn't come up with that ball? he was there easily. Now it's tied, and I'm calling a fixed game. WAY too many shady plays in this 9th inning.... I'd like to note that unless you're a diehard Yankee fan, you probably won't see it that way. He was under that ball and when he realized he had it, he pulled his fucking glove up... edit: Just watched it on Tivo a few times...Something is definitely not right with that play, he actually looked down and pulled up his glove.

+6 Internets | I hate him and want him to retire. However, he would make a nasty DH. |

Yankees, A's, Angels, Tigers, maybe the Mariners. I'd wager he'll be on one of those teams next year. If he doesn't stay on the west coast, it'll be to go play with Leland again or to go hit in front of A-Rod where he'd get pitched to like never before in his career. | |

| The problem with Bonds is he is going to want 15+ million a year and there aren't any teams that are itching to pay a DH 3x more than they currently are for a minor boost in production. He could go to a few teams if he would take a pay cut. |

| I guess we will just have to see how things turn out, I would love to be proven wrong because I like Barry Bonds but I just dont see him making a big impact even as a DH. If he can stay relatively healthy he would have what 2-3 yrs max left? I would assume he would only go for a team that has a shot at making it to the Playoffs/WS also, cause what would be the point? since he owns the biggest record in all of baseball it would only make sense for him to try to end his career with a WS ring. |

+6 Internets | Philllies moved into a tie with the Padres for the NL Wild Card. The next six days are going to be the worst six days of my life. They better not miss it by one game for the third year in a row. I'm hoping the Phillies take at least two from both the Braves and the Nationals, and the Padres lose one more to the Giants split their series against the Brewers. I can't believe I am saying it but I wish Bonds would play and hit 10 HRs over the course of the next two days.
