| [MLB] Milestones Well with Roger Clemens winning his 350th game tonight, I figured a thread to list all the huge milestone reached this year was in order. Definitely a year for the ages. Sosa hitting 600, Bonds going to break the record. Clemens getting 350 wins, Biggio's 3000th hit. Thomas with 500 homers, Griffey Jr should hit 600. I know there are more, but I can't remember them all. Oh, Maddux should hit 350 wins this year or early next too. Never in the last 20 years can I think of a year when so many milestones were reached. Hell, you normally wouldn't see this many in 5 years or more.

| I don't suspect Thomas, Biggio, Griffey, Maddux or Clemens to have ever juiced. The only 2 that are suspected are Sosa and Bonds.

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Yeah, I really wish Griffey never got hurt. He probably would be at 800. As for Clemens not juicing, I'm not sure about that. Plus, numbers don't mean much. Think of all those terrible Expos teams Pedro pitched on. He could easily be at 300 by now. There will be a black cloud over the last 15 years forever. It's really kind of sad. |

| I agree with the sadness of griffey being hurt for a number of years and how sad it was that it happened. I mean...look at him right now he is 100% for the first time in a long time and just look at what he has been doing as of late, and to think its not even close to the numbers he used to put up as a younger guy it's kinda scary. I am really hoping he gets dealt to a contender, I know he kinda screwed the pooch when he was a younger guy demanding out of seattle, and I think he wishes that had never happened. Hind sight is 20/20 tho. I wish him the best. Just for the record tho, he does have the sweetest natural swing I have ever seen ![]() I love baseball too, just something about it keeps me locked to it. I like it tho ![]() |

| Or Rafael Palmero, or how about Brady Anderson; former lead-off hitter for Baltimore. Never hit more than 15 homers in a year before suddenly cranking 50 one year. Ken Caminiti was another one that I believe admitted to juicing after his career was over. Granted none of these are current players, but only suspecting two is a tad rose-colored. BTW - I completely agree on the Sosa front, he couldn't hit a fastball to save his life with Baltimore, but he suddenly has all his power back? Puh-leeze, let's be a little less obvious, shall we Sammy? |
