Standing Long Jump

Sorry to penis measure here but I was wondering if anyone knew their standing long jump distances.

I've been working on improving my standing long jump over the last month. I'm not sure how far I was jumping before, but i'm doing 2.3 meters now (about 7.8 feet). 5'10 115 pounds. My soft-goal is 8 feet but I'm looking to improve it to 9 or 10.

Why would you improve your standing long jump?

That's a pretty good reason. Be sure to show us videos of when you first start practicing on these 10 foot poles.

I guess this is a thread for people who did Track & Field or something since it's the only sport that I can think of that uses this as a measuring stick?*For long jump* I think we called it broad jump when we measured it though but mine was usually 7"11/8 foot and i'm 6"2.

I'd suggest trying to improve something useful like your vertical or 40 yard time.

Yeah, Track and Field folks.

Vertical not so much, we need to be able to jump up yeah, but the tail does most of the heavy lifting. Just have to be able to jump high enough so it's easier on them.

It hardly counts if you just jump straight up and let the wind carry you.

I was 6'0" 125lbs 4 years ago. 4 years of lifting (2 1/2 of which were 5 days a week) and I'm still only 160.

Unless Dairy Queen serves liquor now?

But I know many a man who've packed on a 25lb beer belly post-marriage.
