As a wrestling fan, I must say this is devastating news. Chris Benoit was everything good in the Sports Entertainment bussiness. A true professional, a great performer, a great person. Would never say no to an autograph.

Sports Entertainment lost today, arguably the Greatest Wrestler of our time.

WWE.com now has the headline Double Murder/Suicide up.

EDIT: And I've seen a few articles saying no guns were involved. Still, no cause of death reported yet. Autopsies on the wife and kid will be done tomorrow morning supposedly.

I sincerely hope that if this was a homicide, the killer is found and is given a cage match with Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko.

A fucking mistake IMO.. Since the latest information comming from the Associated Press(hehe I got the wire here since i work at a NewsPaper) says it is "BELIEVED" but not confirmed at all.

Saturn was a weird mofo. But ya the autopsy isnt scheduled for another week or so, wont know anything officially till then.

And Benoit was like my fav wrestler to watch ever besides RVD. "Rabid Wolverine" summed him up rather well I thought.

yeah what's weird is the LT said that it was called in by WWE for a "wellfare check", but WAGA is reporting a neighbor call in. There are definitely conflicting stories right now so it's best to wait a few days.

Actually Perry was not as close as Dean, Eddie, and Chris were. Chris Eddie and Dean were the original 3 Amigos (Before Eddie Named the 3 rolling Suplexes).

But yeah, leave him in there with Dean, and Chavo.. Chavo has been extremly close with Benoit since Eddies death a few years ago.

Weird, anything I read said they have the autopsy scheduled for tomorrow but wont know the results for a few weeks which sounds about right.

BTW, I always wonder about wrestlers because they all most certainly use steroids to get bigger. Lets face it most of these guys are not going to get that big naturally by lifting. Using crazy amounts of steroids can make you super depressed and also make you go on roid rages. It's a wonder that there are not more deaths in this sport.

I wonder if the network and the WWE are going to feel bad about doing a tribute to him if it turns out he really is a child murderer. Seems like they kinda rushed to grab some ratings before they had the full story.

Actually Chris Benoit is one of the few "good guys" in the sense that he never used steroids. Chris has had the body you see today since he was a teenager.
