WHile he wasnt a great fielder. in his prime, he was just sick. 3 times he hit 60plus home runs. He had some pretty big rbi numbers as well. |

| Yeah, just a tad obvious eh? I realize there are no failed tests blah blah but give me a fucking break, you telling me in one offseason he figured out how to hit 30 more homeruns a year? Oh that and the fact that in 1997 he weighed 207 pounds and in 1998 he weighed 265? Failed test or not that shit is not legit, then after the congress hearings he is back to his "skinny" self and couldnt catch up to a fast ball to save his life. |

| While they may not be a compelte tool socially, I hope that is not factored into a hall of fame vote. Because HOF is supposed to be a reward for your on the field actions not how easy you were to talk to or how many interviews you may have given. My only dilemma with bonds as far as the HOF goes is that he was going to be in the HOF -BEFORE- the steroid shit. His numbers were good enough before then, as opposed to sammy and mark's not being anywhere close. |

| Big Mac was kind of a dick. I remember seeing him at an exhibition game when he was still with the A's. This was in New Orleans, where MLB has no presence whatsoever, There were tons of kids down by the dugout where he was just tossing a ball around to loosen up and he wouldn't even acknowledge them. No autographs, no photos, not even a nod or smile. Just ignored dozens of people who had never been that close to a MLB player in their entire lives. It left a real sour taste in my mouth.

| Manny, Manny, Manny | BIg Mac was a dick, back in 1988 or 89, its been a while. i went to an A's game. After the game, people go to the teams parkinglot. Alot of players sign autographs' for people. Jose Canseco was as cool as they come back then. Him and his fine ass wife were passing out pictured signed post cards of Canseco. Anyways, Big Mac comes by in his corvette or some kind of red sports car. I was very young at the time, about 13 or so, well he goes, ok i am going to pull over at the curb and sign autographs for people. Well, he didnt, he just laughed and drove off. haha. I was like, what a dick. lol I understand that they get tired of people hassling him, but hell most of the other players were out there being cool with the fans. |

| Isn't ironic that their home run race in '98 which saved baseball was likely the result of both being pumped on steroids, which is now killing baseball.

| My only comment here is one of surprise. Mac vs Sosa interrupted normal programming on the coasts? Wow. I never knew that. I mean, it interrupted shit (aka: took over) here in STL and CHI for sure, but I never knew it was such a big deal otherwise. You grow up in a midwestern red state and you are trained to think that anything that happens here means nothing, at all, ever. Then all the sudden you see a bunch of 'coasters' talking about a menial local event as "the thing that saved baseball" and you begin to wonder. But, never mind. Flyover states are just that. I actually just tipped three cows.
