| Holy 'weak', Batman. That was a feat of athleticism, no doubt, and it is certainly 'up-there'. But to call it a thread-ender? You want some more kool-aid? Grape or Lemon? I'm with Eomer on this (I think). I can respect a NASCAR driver or a horse jockey or even a golfer as an 'athlete". Because, it does take an extraordinary manner of exertion. The line seems to be when you consider physical vs mental. Is a world-class Chess player an athlete? No. He is almost %100 mental. As is a a poker player like Chan. Sure, the ability to play days on end has a lot to do with the physical, but for the most part it is a mental game. But NASCAR? I consider that a tough question. I really don't know the answer. There isn't a fiber in my body that would have the balls to tell a NASCAR driver that he was purely playing a mental game. Of course he is involved physically. But at what point does mental overcome physical? At what point does it stop being a game and start being a sport? I honestly don't know.
