another LSU fan here and what twobit said is true. he was the most beloved LSU athlete 2 years ago during the final four run. now hes not hated but nowhere near as loved. i've never seen such a dramatic change in just 1 year. he stopped banging down low where he belongs and started playing for NBA scouts. shooting 3's(he wont in the NBA, nowhere near that range), trying to dribble drive and with his body size always getting himself in those 50/50 charge/block situations. he has quick feet for a big man, has/will develop an 18 foot range, good hands, good passer, will get his shot blocked at least 5 times a game, at 6'8 has trouble dunking. he should be a decent role player.

little side note at 6'6 320+ he played RB in High school.

Now he's fatter than Eddy Curry. I'm excited for the big baby era.

ESPN - Sources: Celtics, Wolves resume KG trade talks - NBA

Multiple sources told ESPN.com on Sunday night that former teammates Kevin McHale and Danny Ainge have revived discussions of a deal that would end Garnett's 12-season association with Minnesota by sending him to Ainge's Celtics, with the Wolves getting back two of the assets McHale coveted most last month: Al Jefferson and Theo Ratliff's expiring contract.

Seems to me the Celtics are ripping off the T-wolves. I APPROVE THIS TRADE!!!

KG, Paul P, Ray Allen thats a pretty nasty team. Just need Tim Duncan and Kobe now.

Well, depends on what you consider ripping off. Green has been a HUGE bust so far, but I'm not sold on his career futility and Jefferson is fairly talented. The Wolves get what they need, a few young players and cap relief. Telfair and Ratliff are both expiring contracts for this year so they'll have almost 20 million off the books. The extension for 5/125 is almost a no brainer since he'd made something like 35 million with a trade (some cause where if he's traded he gets 10 million or some weird shit).

I think it's more even than it looks, but it makes the Celtics very relevant and gives them a shot to win the East. I still don't think they're good enough to win a title even with this team, but they're a point guard away. I like Rondo, but he's not good enough. The BEST news is that if they flop early, Doc is gone. Here's to hoping that Doc fucks up and they fire him 2 weeks into the season.

edit: 2 future first rounders too. Yeah, pretty much an even deal even if you have to pay him 5/125. Funny how Ray Allen makes Boston so much more appetizing.
