NBA draft lottery

I'm happy today to see a couple of the worst teams who were tanking on purpose get fucked over by the balls.

1. Portland
2. Seattle
3. Atlanta

Pretty crazy, was great seeing the Celtics fans faces though hah!

Man, the balance of power looks like its gonna stay in the West that much longer. Portland should be a perennial playoff team within a couple years with all the young guys they already have + Oden. Its good to see the Sonics probably getting Durant, cause there had been a lot of talk about the team moving / the city letting it go. This should raise the interest level in Seattle quite a bit, and they'll be a very Solid team as well if they can resign Rashard Lewis and have that Durant / Allen / Lewis trio.

I had been thinking about this even before the lottery, but here's even more reason for the NBA to think about switching the playoff format. It was already considerably more difficult to get into the playoffs in the West, and now it will be even moreso. I'd love to see them switch to the best 16 teams getting in and doing away with the East / West playoffs being separate.

Well, Memphis and Atlanta are in front of us. There is a slight chance that Mike Conley Jr drops to #5. If He doesn't, I trade down to like, 8 or 9 and take Acie Law. You need a true point guard in this league and there aren't enough anymore not to take one of them. They'll both be great NBA players although Conley is younger and less experienced, he has more potential than Law.

Also, what's with these idiots that do mock drafts these days? Does anyone think the giant chinese panda is going outside the top 6? Yeah, me neither. I could see Atlanta taking him merely to boost attendance.

Acie Law probably isn't going top 10, some people are putting him as the #3 PG behind Connely and the freshman out of GT.

He'll go top 10 almost definitey. Every single mock out there has him going between 9 and 13. The one's that don't are retarded. As for that kid from GT, well NBA.com: NBA Draft 2007: What’s the Consensus?

There's not a single one that has him going top 15. Acie Law is the consensus number 2 behind Conley. As for the Celts, it seems most people have Wright and Horford going 3 and 4 in some combo. They need a real point guard, but they'll probably take the chinese guy because they're fucking retarded.

Looks like most people have him 11-15 which is probably about right, but I've read a lot of stuff that says he could easily end up the 3rd pg taken and drop to around 20ish. That link is interesting where they have Yi going to the Bucks, they just took Bogut do they really need another 7 footer?

Some of those are fucking retarded. I saw one that had Acie dropping to 20. It WON'T happen. There are too many teams that need true point guards. I could see him going to the kings, but he won't since Bibby is still getting max money and is regressing at an astonishing rate. The likely thing is the Hawks snag him at 11 and they take Brandon Wright at 3. Brandon Wright is a god awful choice, but Acie Law will work nice. Of course, they are the Hawks and they have probably the worst front office in basketball aside from the Celtics and the Sixers.

I don't see the hawks letting conley pass them by, unless the fucktard GM picks yet ANOTHER forward we don't need in Brandan Wright like some idiotic mock drafts are predicting. Don't get me wrong, Brandan is great (he played here at UNC!) but the Hawks need a solid PG.

Yahoo posted a report today saying that the Blazers are looking at making a trade to get the #3 pick form the Hawks to get Connely.

Ummm, I REALLY doubt that. Considering every team and their mother would sell their fucking franchise to get Oden or Durant. Plus, I don't trust Yahoo for shit.

edit: Actually, it's almost all of the mock drafts that are predicting they take Wright or Brewer ( I think).
