| Hasek was the only reason the score wasnt more than 4 and kept them in the game till those last few minutes. I think he stopped 4 break aways tonight. Well its only 4 more wins for my Ducks! |

| Romo is a manwhore | Sens in 6. I kept thinking the Alfredsson/Heatly/Spezza line would falter at some point, and the one night Buffalo managed to shut them down they managed to win, but then all three scored the next game and they closed out the series. Seriously, unless the Ducks can shut them down, Sens are going to lift that cup. Sens in 6, so they can skate it at home. |

| Forgot my prediction, unfortunatly, the Ducks won't be able to match the talent of the Sens, their special team won't match up, and their top lines will get raped (watch Vermette and Neil neutralize the first line). Sens in 5 (I'd say in 4 but a bad game happens once in a while). |

| Hockey sucks so bad that on Sunday some hockey playoff game went to OT and horse racing cut out the OT. haha that's how bad hockey is. Horses > hockey. They should just move the NHL to Canada and Russia where they actually have more then 1.2 million fans. The WNBA probably gets higher ratings than hockey. Anyways I went in my time machine to see who wins the Stanley Cup, if you want to see the spoiler, then highlight the text. And the winner is: Who gives a shit it's hockey.

+37 Internets | There's no question that the NHL gets poor TV ratings. I was at the gym and had to get off my bike and go change TV channels because they were showing the pre-show to the Preakness or whatever the fuck on NBC. But is that an indictment of the sport itself, or just a reflection of the fact that hockey isn't played in the vast majority of the US? There's very few sports that match hockey when it comes to a combination of speed, skill, and toughness. You want to see a beautiful game? Watch the 2002 Olympic gold medal game. That's hockey at it's very best. But I don't really see why, if you care so little about hockey, you'd bother to walk in here and shit up an otherwise decent thread. |

+37 Internets | It WAS pretty stupid, though. It's not like the cut immediately to the horse race. Oh no. They were happily interviewing horse groomers about their brushing techniques, meanwhile the Eastern Conference final is in OT. |

I was just joking around. I had heard on ESPN's 'Around The Horn' about how the OT was cut off and just wanted to see what you hockey fans thought of that. Whatever sport it was that got cut in OT it was a pretty dick move imo. I don't care if it was a game of horeshoes, you can't cut the OT off and switch to a new sports game. That is just crazy. As for not caring about hockey, I used to be a decent hockey fan, but the sport has kind of gone downhill, don't you think so? I went to BC and watched a ton of home games every year. I still watch BC every year when they are in the frozen four (I have to cheer on my school). But I think the sport has been slipping ever since they cancelled that one NHL season it hasn't really been the same. Since then I haven't watched a single NHL game and haven't really cared about it. Whoever mentioned the 1980 olympic game of USA vs Russia, now that was hockey. Probably the best sports game ever played. Well...tied for me with Red Sox and Pats winning WS & SB. But that was college guys playing with heart, I wish we could see more heart out there on the ice these days. Hockey just doesn't seem the same these days, 10-15 years ago it was fantastic. Anyways, I didn't mean to mess up this thread. I was just joking around, just ask Ishad he will tell you that I am a clown. And in closing, why do the Bruins always suck so much? I hope you all enjoy the rest of the playoffs.

Part and parcel with that was the NHL attempting to cut down on clutching and grabbing. While I don't like how important powerplays have become due to the extra penalty calls, I do like that quickness and skill have become important once again. No more New Jersey Devils shit hockey winning championships, hopefully. | |
