+31 Internets | Doubtful, IMO. Ottawa is the real deal. I think Ottawa will win the cup regardless of who they play, at this point. They'll be well rested and waiting for whoever comes out of the West, and that's a fairly big advantage this far into the playoffs (although having too big of a rest can have the opposite effect). But it'll be a good final, regardless. I hope no one tries to pin the Sabres loss on Miller because of the mediocre winning goal. He was the only reason they made it at far as they did, in the game, series and playoffs. He's the real deal. |

I'm convinced the Sens will win now, though I believe the series, against either Detroit or Anaheim, will go to 7, just because both teams are better defensively than the Sabres. Hasek is playing like he's 32 instead of 42 as well.

| So the Ducks have been doing pretty good so far. I've been watching them since game 3 of the Semi's. Normally I could give a rats ass aboot hockey, but home team and all. My brother is dating a big hockey fan, and she's been getting us tickets to the game. Hockey isn't too bad when you're with a dozen screaming psycho's. Fuck Redwings fans - such assholes. Throwing squids on the ice after a loss? WTF? GG Why is NBC and the VS. channel backing the Redwings? From the dialogue and features on both stations the bias is clear. Everytime Brett Hull speaks I see him gobbling on Detroit's Cod. Stop pointing at the camera, Brett. Why do all the players have beards? The Ducks need a new name, or a new sponsor. Why did they get rid of the pond? That was the only redeeming value of having such a retarded name. If the Ducks win Tuesday or Thursday I think it'll be a good series against Ottawa. If not, I'll have to cheer for the Senators against the Detroit Douchebag's. [edit] Holmstrom was milking that hit for all he could back in game three. If he hadn't been bleeding then Pronger wouldn't have been out game four. Not that it mattered, anway. Last edited by Himeo : 05-21-2007 at 09:01 AM. |

+4 Internets | Yea he was really milking that bleeding gash on his head. If they wanted to really milk it they would have sent him to the hospital in the third and Pronger would've gotten 2-3 games instead of one. |

Vs. used to be OLN, which is a Canadian media station so of course they are hating the fact that a southern west coast team really has a chance to win the cup this year. During game 5, Eddie O was "calling" some penalties on the Ducks that he thought should have been called penalties, but werent called by the red. The octopi on the ice represent the old days of Stanley Cup playoffs. It used to only take 8 wins to win the Stanley cup, so they would throw the octopus with 8 legs to represent that and it just stuck. Hockey Players are very supersticious (sp?) and they dont shave through playoffs. well alot of them dont shave atleast. The Honda Center probably out bid Arrowhead water for the sponsorship this year. The Pond was the name given by Arrowhead so when Honda came in, out went the Pond.

| No, it was a pissed off Detroit fan that did it. I think the guy who threw the second one on the ice got punched by another fan, then dragged off by the police. I looked down and there was a guy on the ground after that happened, and the police were dragging him out. I hope thats what happened. Noticed you were in Riverside, Im in San Bernardino. Not too far from you. |

| Hah, yeah, but thats just him. The stuff hes saying now about the Ducks isnt entirely true, but they did play horrible most of the last couple games. I still think Chelios is worse than Hull. Hull just has the guts to speak out. |

| All I can now say is, Go Sens Go. I cannot foresee the Ducks winning the Stanley Cup. Luckely, with the shit hockey they've been playing in this round (this is one of the most horrendeous rounds these playoffs), I doubt they'll even be able to match the well oiled machine the Senators have been. Outing Buffalo in 5? Jeez! ![]() |
