Want to be UFC Champ?

No previous mma fights needed. Goto UFC and your lose first fight in the first round, win second fight via decision = title shot. Fake Wrestling background is a plus.

Please send resume to dana.white@ufcisajoke.com

I see what you mean.

I dunno though, you have to roll with the punches. He signed up to fight Mir, and along with all the TUF business they can't cancel it without incurring some loss with the fans.

Another way to look at it is, I would put Nog's odds of beating Lesnar higher than his odds of beating Randy, so it works in his favor because if Lesnar beats Randy, it helps him. Then if Nog beats Lesnar, he not only puts himself higher than Lesnar, but also above Randy in terms of public opinion.

It's really not about who deserves what fight, but what fight will sell the most. The fans speak with their money, and Randy vs Lesnar is the best heavyweight fight they could make for Randy in terms of $$$. And if Lesnar defeats Randy, then it doesn't matter whether he deserved the fight with his MMA record, because he would show that he deserves it with talent.

Well it's a double edge sword. UFC is a sport and not the WWE. This reeks of a WWE style match making and it furthers the cause to not have it a respected sport.

Yeah I find the fact that Lesnar is getting a title shot with a 1-1 record in the UFC pretty retarded.

So what happens if Randy manages to beat both Lesnar and Nog? Will they manage to pull off the Fedor fight then? Although like I mentioned before, I see Randy having a tough time with Lesnar just due to his size and strength advantage.

Dana's current strat is probably to hope that Affliction bankrupts, which would allow Fedor to be free. Affliction has a new contract with Fedor, and may try to do some kind of co-promotion for Fedor.

I really hope Randy can pull off the win against Lesnar and Nog. That means a Fedor vs. Randy fight has to happen for the good of the sport.

I can't believe Lesnar gets a title shot, it fucking irks me so. Has he been tested for Roids? You don't get that big off pure air, nor would you get a dick tattoo'd on your chest.

He was thoroughly tested during his amateur wrestling, where he wrestled around the same weight (285) he's fighting at now.

Whether or not those tests were faulty is up to you to decide for yourself.

He's always been that huge, and there's never really a point in his life where you could look at and say, "Yeah, he was off his roids here, and then on his roids there."

I haven't heard anyone like Ark talk about whether he looks like he's on roids.

You're right, you don't get that big off of pure air... but that doesn't mean he's doing roids. I'm not sure why you would combine the tattoo comment in the same sentence either since they're not remotely related? Unless you're suggesting that in a surge of roid rage he decided to do it?

That being said, when Fedor vs UFC comes happen, it will be the biggest fight for a long time to come.

Lesnar may be the only heavyweight with the speed and natural ability to match up with Fedor. Fedor is just so much faster than everyone else at heavyweight. I know Lesnar is a novice but he is the only guy I can think of who may actually be able to use his brute strength and wrestling to go the distance with Fedor. This is assuming he has a chin, which no one knows yet.

Personally I think Randy has lost his fastball in the last two years, and while I'd love to see the fight I don't think he can make it to the final bell with Fedor.

Probably the biggest letdown would be if Nog beats Mir and Lesnar/Randy.

Brock has no submission game and Fedor has, I think, 15 submission victories now after the Sylvia win. Fedor would murder Brock, Kimbo and all of the other over-hyped, under-tested money rackets. I don't think people should count out Andre Arlovski. His boxing has gotten insanely good and, for his weight, he is probably one of the most athletic in the division. If Fedor stays with Affliction for a couple more fights, this is definitely a match-up I look forward to seeing. I'm not saying that Andre has a real chance, just a better chance than anyone else.

I'm not saying Brock would beat Fedor. I just think he's the only heavyweight with the combination of speed, strength, and wrestling that could possibly keep it standing and last a full 3 rounds with him. I think Randy would try to keep it standing and dirty box him against the cage but Fedor would eventually take him down or clock him. I think Fedor's only vulnerability at this point is an equally skilled wrestler to combat his sambo who has the size and speed to keep it off the ground, maybe finding a way to win by a lucky punch or a cut. Lesnar and to a lesser extent Cain are the only two people who have that skillset.
