Personally, I've always disliked Tito, but he sells shows, Chuck vs Tito 2 is the #1 selling MMA card ever.

If the UFC wanted market domination, they'd give him some bigger PPV incentives for his "raise." So you make it a performance based raise.

I hope the UFC keeps him around, otherwise he's going to be on HDfights or in M1, and we're basically going to see the reemergence of PRIDE, with half of Prides champs, plus a bunch of UFC talent in one org, putting on awesome shows, with the screaming banshee lady, like the recent Fedor fight. Not that it matters to me, I was always more of a PRIDE fan anyways.

I have no clue why the UFC lets good talent go build up other orgs. They could be throwing these guys on cards all day long and letting them "gatekeep" Ken Shamrock should be testing out Soko, etc. Not adding his hall-of-famer prestigious name to HDnet's card.

So Cro Cop is back in the gym. And I can't be 100% sure, but it looks like he was serious about bulking up. Also, his nose looks bigger/different. I know he had surgery because he was only getting like 50% airflow or some shit, so maybe that's it. Anyhoo, CC training pics here if anyone cares.

If he doesn't absolutely obliterate his next opponent and then get a huge contract, there's no way he stays in the UFC. He clearly doesn't like the cage based on interviews and really misses Pride. He'll go to M-1 Global or back to K1, though I've heard rumors he left them on bad terms. Nothing specific though.

They are not so massive anymore. He lost a lot of leg size since Pride. Ive seen the comparison shots. He looks like he put some weight on in those pics, but his legs are nowhere near Pride size now. Combination of foot injury and drug testing.

That statement has affected his entire career in the UFC. I want to see him back in K1 Dreams or World Victory Road asap. Anywhere he actually gives a shit about fighting and doesn't feel degraded. Also any place that has REAL referees that call penalties.

If I were him I would have asked to be released from my contract after the Kongo fight. That was despicable refereeing. How many knees to the balls does it take to a get a DQ? Fucking christ, nice precedent set. 8 ball shots, no DQ? Awesome. Ive seen the slo-mo replay, so I hope there aren't any Kongo fans here. The guy is a piece of shit and even said he doesn't care about the ball shots and Crocop fans don't matter.

You could hear big john give the initial warning after 1 hit, but no break was given. Then he warns him again, then he finally stops it after the 3rd series of infractions began. No point taken away.

No point taken away? Why? That isn't a sport, thats fixed. UFC officials are fucking terrible and can make the sport unwatchable at times. Sometimes you question "is this really the big leagues??" what the fuck.

All of that may be true. However, Cro Cop really didn't look like he even wanted to be in that fight. It really seemed after that head kick from Gonzaga he sort of lost his drive to fight. That is all pure speculation on my part, but he just really seemed uninspired in the Kongo fight.

Kongo broke his rib early with a heel "stomp" while crocop was on the ground, which is cleverly called an axe kick to make it legal. This occurred in round 1.

Id say Mirko did very well given the circumstances. He won the first round.

Show me how much you want to be there after getting your rib broken and taking thai knees from fucking Cheick KONGO directly to the balls repeatedly while the referee just stares at you. That would break my spirit in half.

Have you seen the gif replay? it will make you wince, its in competition with the bme olympics. Any one of us here would have been TKO'd due to illegal strikes.

Did anyone listen to the liddel video last week? he pretty much bashed the Ring vs cage debate which I agree. I think rules will effect the outcome but not that.

As for the CC I think the new shorts to the public look better but the old one's are for fighting. He could come out in aoki pants or whatever I dont care. I just want to see that drive he used to have, win or lose.

I disagree. Just because Liddell talks softly doesn't mean he isn't an arrogant asshole. Bigger gurus such as Bas have cited the cage vs ring differences. Intelligent guy versus burnout? Ill take Bas word on the cage vs ring. It favors wrestling and you can't set up your strikes. It completely rendered crocop ineffective because he can't back his opponent into a corner. I have no idea how you can agree with that.
