+4 Internets | I don't see how it can be done effectively really. Imagine the fanboys coming out of the woodwork when their fighter is ranked lower than they feel they should or ranked below someone they beat? Take the welterweight division for example (before Serra's injury). Would Serra have been the #1 because he had the title? If not, then GSP who he beat for the title? Or Matt Hughes who GSP beat for the title? Too many variables to make it hold any weight IMO.

Obviously the title holder is always #1, after that you have ranked contenders 1-9 or something to that effect. Include some sort of heavy weighting for recent results to keep it current and it would be fun for the fans I think.

Oh, also, you can say what you want about Huerta, but he fucking wins. Same with Lauzon. What does just starting matter to anything? I seem to remember him taking down Pulver without much trouble, and he certainly isn't a stranger to the big leagues. Can't wait to hear you talk out your ass some more, though.

| lol ok give Lauzon a shot at the title after Sherk rips it back off the winner of Stevenson/Penn and I guarantee its one of the rare time Sherk would actually stop somebody. Lauzon has no wrestling. Hes a great scrambler with a lot of lanky fast twitch muscle to make up for it. From what I saw in his last fight hes hard to handle because he doesnt present a center of gravity. The kids body bends all over shifting his gravity around. Benefits of being a wiry skeleton. The roid shark doesn't care about those things, if he gets 1 hand on lauzon hes going to his back and getting pounded out. 1st round TKO. Guida was taking the Huerta fight until he made a mistake. If Huerta fights someone above Guida for his next fight, its a loss. Give Huerta Aurelio as a final test. After that, give him a #1 contender fight or even a title shot. It doesn't matter that Aurelio lost to Guida, it was a split decision. Urijah is too small to move up to 155. He would be fighting a bunch of guys cutting from 175. Hence why all the REAL matchups for Urijah are in Japan. K1 can make some things happen. Last edited by jayrebb : 12-18-2007 at 04:38 PM. |
