Anyway, can't wait for it. This card makes up for Bisping/Evans being the main event at 78

Karo Parisyan vs. Ryo Chonan Akihiro Gono vs. Tamdan McCrory Joe Doerksen vs. Ed Herman Marcus Aurelio vs. Luke Caudillo Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva Frankie Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher Michael Bisping vs. Rashad Evans Thiago Alves vs. Chris Lytle Jason Reinhardt vs. Joe Lauzon Not a lot of big names, but tons of great matchups. Edgar/Fisher, Alexander/Silva should be amazing. Alves is fighting, Lauzon is the man, Herman is fun to watch, etc etc etc. It should be a great card top to bottom, just no big name main event.

| Going to Strikeforce tomorrow at the HP Pavilion. My buddy got us 4 2'nd row seats because he made some sales to the Pavilion's marketing director, and he hooked us up for free! Can't wait! |

+11 Internets | That's pretty cool=) Buentello always puts on good fights, and he's fighting Overeem who finally moved that gigantic body of his up to HW, be interested to see how he does without having to cut a ton of weight. Cung Le is fighting and he's crazy fun to watch with all those spin kicks and axe kicks and shit. And it'll be cool to see the dude who owned Matt Hughes twice in under a minute combined(Hallman). Good shits.

+20 Internets | Very true, I'm expecting to see alot of exciting fights come out of 78. I just hate Bisping, and to a lesser extent Evans. No way should those two be headlining an event especially after their last fights. Hopefully Bisping will get destroyed. |

God willing... I've actually come around on Evans since he was on TUF. He seemed to realize the showboating shit was retarded and fights serious when he's in the ring. And besides the Tito fight, where he just looked way way too nervous until halfway through the 3rd, he's started fighting for the finish instead of the decision. And then there's this from an interview with him. Quote:
Other news, rumors flying that Fedor may or may not fight in Japan on New Years. Sounds unlikely. Evan Tanner apparently sobered up long enough to sign a 4 fight contract with the UFC, here's hoping he stays sober and doesn't get those stupid fucking cornrows in his hair again. WAR Tanner. Josh Barnett finally showed back up, he's doing some catch wrestling match with a dude named Sato on a Pancrase show on december 22nd. Wish he'd get back into the MMA ring=/

I hope Evans beats the shit out of Bisping. Best fights will be the Parisyan, Alexander, and Edgar fights (and those are my picks!)

| If anyone can give Machida trouble it's a heavy handed striker. But my homie Machida will pull it off. He needs a real finish to prove himself and to shoot up in the ranks. I have heard Sokoudjou has been training his ground game with Dan Henderson AND Jason Miller as of late. So I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to take Machida to the ground. But I doubt that is the case. I'm guessing he is just reinforcing his defense, and the fight will be mostly from a distance with peppering jabs and leg kicks with the random big high kick and hooks thrown in.

| My guesses: Evans beats Bisping (TKO) - I just want to see Bisping get wrecked Chonan beats Karo (Dec.) - tough call, but I see him outlasting Karo Edgar beats Fisher (Sub.) - I guess I'm just super impressed with his win over Griffin. I'm thinking heel hook for some reason. Houston A. beats T. Silva (TKO) - I haven't seen enough of either of these guys so this really is a big guess, but either way it should be a quick fight Doerkson beats Herman (Dec.) Lytle beats Alves (Dec.) - just feels like Lytle for some reason Gono beats McCrory by boring him and everyone in the crowd into submission Marcus Aureillio (W) Lauzon (W) Now its 2007, so just take all my guesses and bet the opposite and you'll probably make money. |
