If it is true, then the 10 million dollar payday is gonna make shit interesting for Dana White when contract time comes rolling around.

I think Crocop looks bad, but people forget that Josh Barnett dominated the UFC and Randy C. before going to PRIDE and getting ravaged. Same with Liddell.
Oh come on, ravaged? Yes, Josh lost three times to Cro Cop, the guy seems to be his krypotnite. But other than that he did well, even managing to beat big Nog. (I wouldn't have given that decision to him, but thats another story)

I still think that unless they bring Fedor over, it's not going to be long before Noguiera holds the belt.

My girlfriend just got my attention to this show called Fight Girls. Its like TUF but with chicks who do professional kickboxing. They all live in a house together and some of them are pretty hot. This episode I saw was not that bad... anyone else seen this?

He's gonna be the next Rock, lol.

“Randy’s contract was on a fight-by-fight basis, and that’s the way he said he was always going to take it – fight by fight,” said Matt Walker, Couture’s agent at The Gersh Agency. “His acting career is accelerating at an astronomical rate, and without the support he felt some of his peers were receiving in the fight business, this was the logical choi

Well I wasn't going to condemn Dana White's cheap ways when it came to Fedor because I really have no idea. However, if the UFC's golden boy is really gonna walk away from the sport due to frustration over UFC management. Then I'm going to conclude that they really are incompetent.

Yep, looks real...

Exclusive: Couture Talks UFC Resignation

Couture's already retired like 3 times, but it sounds like this time it's for real.

Retiring isn't the same as resigning from an organization.

Hey...i'm officially retired from the UFC and will be in South Africa filming a movie. I'll probably unreachable while i'm there. I'll log on myspace.com whenever i get a chance. Thanks everyone, for all the support you have given me the last few years. I wish i could have fought Fedor Emelianenko, but i guess i can't. It's been groovy.

He says he wants to fight Fedor. What's stopping him now?

He cut his ties with the UFC, why doesn't he just go to M1 and fight him there? I can't see why M1 wouldn't bend over backwards for him.

He still has fights on his contract but the contract expires after a certain amount of time. It's the same thing that Hansen is doing. Hansen is currently contracted to the UFC but doesn't like the pay so he's just waiting it out and competing in kickboxing tournaments for now.

^ What he said. Randy released an official statement and it looks like his frustration with UFC management/pay was one of the big motivations (aside from not being able to fight Fedor). He wasnt getting paid nearly what was being offered to Fedor or even what some other fights are making, and he's the heavyweight champ. He asked about it and was told the #2 highest paid guy in the company, which he said was a lie.

Id agree with the pay in the UFC is a bit fucked. According to the figures, Chuck Liddell made 500,000 dollars for his loss to Jardine, and Jardine made 14 grand for the win...I know contracts vary, but christ, the guy won the main event, pay the man.
