I thought carwin used to cut then he started to try and lose weight so he can be faster. Most likely im wrong, I didnt pay attention when he first joined the UFC.

6'5 cuts from 295 now. Cool gains he made since hes been known to fight in the 240s.
Read that Carwin put on quite some bulk for this fight (was at 285).. sure he fought at ~255 before, but that doesn't mean he can get alot bigger, for fighting such a big guy.

PS: I hope the controls for MMA will be better than in Undisputed, I can't stand playing it, just because of the controls.

That pick reminds me of what Undisputed looked like when it first came out, year later it looked like shit.

ufc 108 would be a rediculous card....
Quote:
Dave Meltzer said Dana White wants the Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua rematch on UFC 108. Meltzer also stated that Shogun has agreed to the date, and Machida will let them know if he's healthy enough to take it.

They want to return quickly with Machida/Shogun because the controversy is hot right now and if they can make a rematch announcement soon, they can assuage fan anger and channel it into PPV buys. If UFC 108 has Lesnar-Carwin, Machida-Shogun, and Evans-Silva, the show should break the million buy mark.

They won't do Lesnar-Carwin, Machida-Shogun, and Anderson-Vitor on the same card, because they'd have almost nothing for their shows at the beginning of next year, and they won't overload New Year's.

It may be a mistake for Machida to take a rematch so soon. There's just no way he can get a full training camp in given the beating he took Saturday night and the time he'll need to recover before he can train at full speed.

This is a good example of a situation where what is best for business diverges from what is best for the sport. The best thing for business is to put this rematch on as soon as possible to strike while the iron's hot. But at the same time, I don't think anyone wants to see Machida lose because he's injured and unable to train. I think the best course of action is to do Lesnar-Carwin and Sliva-Belfort on this show, and delay Shogun-Machida until the Superbowl show.
UFC 108 card
Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Junior dos Santos
Jim Miller vs. Tyson Griffin
Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley
Martin Kampmann vs. Rory Markham
Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
Mark Munoz vs. Ryan Jensen
Cole Miller vs. Dan Lauzon

Oh yeah Carwin throws 40 pounds on and off like a frisbee. Hes so talented at gaining and losing 50-60 pounds. I heard hes cutting from 350 for this fight.

Also where can I buy a pair of his foot implants? Id like to make the 6'5 mark myself.

In seriousness though, the guy is barely 6'1 according to the NFL (now rumored to be a flat 6'0.5). There is no fucking way you can rollercoast 40-50 quality pounds at 6'1. Id believe he cut from 295 maybe if he was 6'10.

Expect Carwin to show up at the weighins at 262 or so. I don't believe he will be cutting to 265. But yeah keep telling yourself Carwin is 6'5.

Dana white slowly changing his opinion

This is starting to look more and more like the talking before the GSP vs BJ Penn 2 fight.

He weighed in at 264 pounds for UFC89. And where you getting your 6'5" talk from?

cause he is 6'1. He even said many times that they are exaggerating his height on the site/preview. He's gonna get blanketted to TKO if he thinks he needs to add pounds. His speed did not look that impressive in his Gonzaga fight and he wants to get bigger.

Its really pushing the line between WWE and MMA.

Lying about stats in pro league sports is not the ticket to mainstream acceptance. The media must be scared of getting blacklisted, just watch how no journalist asks Dana why Carwin's stats were false leading up to this fight. Ill be looking for it though in hope that someone out there has some balls to question it.

I mean it would be cool if Carwin's height was a secret, because nobody would recognize the deception. But its just flagrant lying at this point due to the NFL records and Carwin twittering that the UFC is stupid.

Hey Dana next time you want to add 5 inches to someones height, at least make sure they aren't registered in the NFL combine first, also to add more legitimacy you may want to get the fighter to agree to your promotion of lies.

And I can't wait to see Carwin at the weigh-ins and how he did NOT cut from 295. Im going to laugh my ass off when he comes in at 260 flat.

Watched the card last night, you guys that are crying corruption and all that bullshit over the Machida-Shogun fight are being over dramatic bitches. That fight was very close and came down to 1 or 2 toss-up rounds. I watched it with two other guys, two of us had Machida in rounds 2, 3 and 5 and the other had Shogun in 1, 4 and 5. I can totally see the fight being given to either guy and I wouldn't have been surprised at all if Shogun won, but the nerdrage and hyperbole over the decision is crazy.

Jesus, who the fuck cares about his stats and whether they're fake or not? Do people even look at them, do they fucking matter to anyone but the fighters? I absolutely guarantee that anyone going up against Carwin knows that he isn't 6'5 and cutting 500 pounds to make weight.

You seem to be the only person that gives a shit, which really isn't surprising at all given your status as the local retarded tinfoil hat wearing MMA superfan, but leave it the fuck alone, okay? Nobody cares.
