A randy / CC fight would be interesting to watch yes, but i have no doubts that CC would be the victor.
Anderson Silva is a striker=) GSP too I guess. But yeah now that you mention it UFC does seem to have a glut of people who are primarily grapplers/BJJ guys. I guess Leben, Franklin maybe would be heavily leaning towards striking. But after that it's a lot of wrestler types. Not much in the way of Gomi/Silva *good* stand up guys. Of course both just got bitchslapped by Americans(FUCK YEAH!). Not to mention Lil Nog.

BTW UFC recently signed Fabricio Werdum from Pride/Bushido. They're really trying hard to shore up their heavyweight division, mostly by plucking fighters from Pride. Hopefully he comes in better prepared than Herring did. Wonder if they'll get Barnett back(and unjuiced). Was really hoping they'd get Junior Silva before EXC did, but I guess he's actually over their heavyweight limit(265). Which I didn't even know existed til Sylvia weighed in last week.

Finally, too GD many Silva/Sylvia/Silvia fighters out there.

Junior would fuck Sylvia up if they ever fought at SHW.

It would be a fucking slaughter in the basest sense of the word.

My brother pointed out during that fight that he looks like one of those Easter Island heads.

Tonight is the premiere of the 2 hour weekly IFL show "Battleground" on MyNetworkTV (for some of you it's what WB used to be, for others its UPN).

Yeah just saw an ad for it. Too bad it's on at 8 so can only catch half of it before Heroes.

I don't think Heroes is on tonight bud.

And those figures for what the UFC payouts are - wow. How much do you think Dana White and Co. rake in from PPV/Product/etc.

Damn. lol

Keep in mind that doesn't include money they get from sponsors and such, but yeah, only top guys make anything worthwhile right now.

The IFL show was good, and I'm a big fan of the league over all, but they tried to play up the brutality really stupidly. "Tonight, someone is leaving on a stretcher!... We had to call 9-1-1!" Wtf?

Was kind of funny they showed him being carried out on a stretcher but didn't take the 2 seconds they needed to say he was ok. I was in the audience of that show, they announced later on he would be fine.

Overall I liked the show, but they sure went out of their way to play into the hands of MMA critics.

My exact thoughts. By halfway through I was muting it every time they started babbling about it. The worst was "What you've been waiting for!" shit they were saying about it.

Was cool to see that Horedecki kid fight.

And yeah, I forgot Heroes was on break=P
