+8 Internets | When the bell rings and ref yells stop, you stop. Period. Vera vs Swampthing will be a good fight. Tim needs to work on his aggressiveness and explosiveness. Fedor vs Randy. Gonna include this in every post I make until it happens.

| Randy's arm got broken in the 3rd round and he still won. So I wouldn't be scared about him getting hurt... He is the real Rocky. I'm not saying he would beat Fedor, but he is an awfully smart fighter and doesn't feel pain apparently. Lots of broken bones at this UFC. Made up for the lack of action in the previous one. I am a bit curious about this "Unification Fight" at the next UFC. Will they still hold their individual belts, but one will have a new belt above both, or what?

But yeah, there is also the issue of separate contracts and stuff to think about. | |

| In team sports you get paid for your stats and ability to help a team win. In an individual sport you get paid for winning. If Tiger Woods wins a PGA tourney he gets the prize. If Joe Beerbelly wins he gets the same prize. Roger Federer gets the same for winning the U.S Open that the 64th seed would get. I guess that's how I think of it. I do understand the contractual issue, and while I don't think it is how it should be handled.. that's the way it is. So be it.

If Oscar DeLahoya loses he gets 3x the cash of the winner. If Tiger Woods shows up in Dubai he walks out with a 5million dollar appearance fee on top of his prize winnings. As for Randy/Fedor. I am so done picking against Randy. 1st Chuck fight and the Sylvia fight knocked that out of me. I don't know about like, actual smarts, but when it comes to fight planning and in the ring smarts I can't go against him anymore. I wouldn't expect him to get any more injured by a 235lb Fedor than against the 250+ giants he's fought. As for the "unification" fight. It's all bullshit and hype. As it stands there is no Pride FC. Period. Hendo's beltS are pretty much meaningless as far as unification goes. If he wins he's not gonna be taking the UFC belt back to Japan and Pride or something. Right now there is no Pride Fighting Championships. Dana White said he didn't think it would get up there because of the business atmosphere in Japan or some other BS. UFC got what they wanted from Pride, a bunch of top fighters. A lot of the lighter guys have signed with other orgs for whatever reason, but they bolstered their roster a lot.

| I just noticed something strange looking at the upcoming UFC cards. Why the hell is Jardine fighting Chuck? I am assuming that fight is going to determine a challenger for a title fight. Didn't Jardine get his ass beat in his last fight? Why did they still move him UP into a title contention fight for getting owned? That doesn't make much sense to me. Jardine is good and all, but a loss is a loss, you should not be moving up the ladder from a loss...

+2 Internets | Finally got a chance to see the Babalu fight. Holy shit, I can't believe that the fight wasn't stopped before he even choked him out. Heath was taking an absolute beating. I read Babalu's statement that he didn't know Heath had tapped. He is full of shit. That was a bad move by Babalu. |
