+11 Internets | So next Saturday in England we get(tape delay on Spike) Michael Bisping vs. Chris Leben Bisping has said he's gonna stand and and bang with him. He won't. He may be an asshole, but he's not stupid. He'll bring it to the ground and grind him out there. I'm not a fan of Bisping, but he has looked better at 185. Leben puts on entertaining brawls, but he's lost against disciplined fighters and I think Bisping will stick to the blueprint. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Luiz Cane I haven't seen enough of Cane yet. He's a vicious striker, but Soko has shown some very slick counter punching. I just expect him to get it done, but would not be even slightly shocked to be wrong. Cane could be the next LHW wrecking machine. Keith Jardine vs. Brandon Vera Jardine relies on unorthodox striking and keeping his distance. He's Liddell without quite the same bonecrushing power. Vera seems to have huge reach for his size and attacks from odd angles as well. Vera likes to work in the clinch and inside and land knees. Jardine is susceptible to inside work(see: Alexander, Houston). I think if he can get inside he'll manage to land one. Marcus Davis vs. Paul Kelly Haven't seen a lot of Kelly, but I have become a big Marcus Davis fan. One of the few guys who you can see improving every time he steps in. He'll probably never be a champ, but he can be a great gatekeeper and a solid test guy for people for years to come. Paul Taylor vs. Chris Lytle Mostly I'm just pulling for Taylor on this one. He's got heart and he fights to win. Still, good chance he'll get armbarred. Undercard has a couple interesting fights. But none I care about enough to pick. Though I wouldn't mind seeing the Gono/Hardy fight. Just because I've never seen Hardy fight and he's supposed to be fun to watch.

| Bisping by decision Soko by tko Vera by decision Davis by ko Lytle by submission Take it all the way to Vegas! Seriously though, I'm looking forward to seeing Sokoudjou fight again. Over-all, this is a pretty shitty card. |

Yeah it's not really bad matchmaking so much. The fights should almost all be competitive. It's just that there's only 3 fights that deserve to really be shown. Then again, we should be used to it on the European shows and just accept them as the free shit they are. They stick some euros in the cage and give us a couple interesting match ups. Little bigger than a Fight Night, little smaller than a full on PPV.

| +Internets can now be exchanged for free original thought potions! | Correct me if you guys think I'm wrong or don't see it/agree with me. Why do MMA fans not only accept, but love a quick knock out fight, but professional boxing fans will burn a place to the ground for a 1 round fight? I understand the admission prices are a BIT different, but it seems with boxing, we love the long drawn out endurance matches, with MMA we really love seeing just a completely one-sided ass beating. |

+11 Internets | Mike Tyson was the greatest draw in the history of boxing. Everyone loves a beatdown. But yeah, it's the full show thing like Foddon mentioned. Used to be you'd pay 35$ for a Tyson PPV, get 1 mediocre undercard fight featuring whoever the crooked promoters were trying to push, and then get Iron Mike dismantling someone in 2 minutes. MMA you buy a card(or watch one of the MANY available free ones) and you get a title fight usually, and 3-5 other good fights. Plus, nowadays a lot of people aren't paying for their "pay" per views. Internet magic and whatnot.

| Looked at the picture before reading your text and said to myself, "why is igor wearing a putin-skin mask?" Though I was probably influenced by this being the MMA thread. I think Igor has done some acting since he retired, or was that Oleg T.? |
