Wasnt saying he was big. I just meant out of the chute box crew. Anyone have the pick of them all walking down the street?

He's really not big. He looks like if he did crazy wrestler style weight cutting he could make 185. He's just under 6'. Wiki says he did BJJ tourneys in the 80kg(~176lb) division before MMA.

edit: HOWEVER, I do now recall that Shogun had planned to move up to Heavyweight at some point(was talking about it a bit before Pride was going under). I think this was in part to get out of Wandy's weight division in Pride. I don't think they're teammates anymore, as him and his brother opened a school in Brazil I believe, so not sure if this still applies.

Anyways, I just hope his ACL is finally healthy when he gets back in the ring. He has lost all the momentum he had coming out of Pride due to the injuries and the lackluster Griffin fight=/

So If im getting this right UFC 93 might have?

Penn/GSP
Rampage/silva
Shogun/Coleman
Machida/Thiago
Hendo/Franklin??

Unless it was the superbowl card I could maybe see that, but This is in Ireland.... Anyways that would be maybe the best UFC card ever, while UFC 91 looks to be one of the worst.
Well I am not sure actually. According to mmaweekly, the card in Ireland with Franklin vs Henderson, and Coleman vs Shogun will be January 17th. While Penn vs GSP and Rampage vs Silva is on the January 31st card, which would be UFC 93. However, UFC 92 is scheduled for December 27th. So I am not sure if they just have the date wrong, or if maybe they are having a fight night for free? Really not sure...

Yeah it doesnt make sense right now. All I've seen is

Dec. 10th "Fight for the troops" Koscheck headlining
Dec. 27th "UFC 92 Nog vs Mir''
Jan. 27th "UFC 93 Dublin TBA"

No clue how these fights will all be placed.

Also did anyone notice they have been going away from giving the events gay names like Ill Will?? 89: Leban Vs Bisping
UFC 90: Silva Vs Cote ect..

They've done that in the past. 87 and 88 had the silly titles. But yeah it looks like they are leaning more towards the main event fight as titles thing coming up.

I kinda wish they'd do 4 huge shows per year kinda like Pride. Keep up the monthly ones, but have 1 per season be a mega show. Summer, Spring, Fall, and NYE. Can give them a steady title like Shockwave and Final Conflict etc had for Pride. Or even if they just did a Summer one and a NYE one. Would make the events seem less generic.

So I guess it's now Machida/Thiago Jan 31 @UFC 94.

The crappy card do suck but atleast there is almost 2 UFC events a month and almost half of them are free.

Penn/St. Pierre might as well be Crocop/Fedor all over again. Two powerhouses in prime condition. I wanna say GSP, just technically sound beyond belief. BJ feels indestructible, GSP deserves much more credit - I pray this doesn't go to decision.

They just announced Evans vs Griffin and Rampage vs Silva for UFC 92 in December. That should be a pretty bad ass card. Two title fights and another fight with title contention implications.

Yeah that is going to be an awesome fucking night. Only fight I would put money down would be forrest. The other 2 fights are really hard to call for me. Nog/Silva will most likely win.

Are they just stacking that card in case some one gets injured or Rampage goes back into the loony bin?

Dana White said he wants to end the year with a bang, so they decided to stack the card.

Best fight of those announcements in my opinion is Franklin vs. Hendo. Gotta love my washouts!
