Affliction is going belly up without a huge breakthrough. Affliction reps said they would have needed 250k PPV buys to break even.

+20 Internets | Atencio (Affliction guy) is saying they received more then 100k PPV buys. If that ends up being true I don't think Affliction could of really asked for a better debut show. That's with the UFC cockblocking them too. If they could manage to land the Fedor / Couture fight, then maybe someone like Tito they could actually end up being profitable in a few shows. |

| Pride Never Die | The head Affliction already knew they were going to lose money. You are not going to get to play with the big dogs without losing some money first. If they made a profit it would just be icing on the cake, but everybody and including them know they won't make money so soon. There's a reason why they said they'd do 3 shows and then they'll see if they'll continue on. This show was a breakthrough show and if they get a good second show they might be around for a bit. It's still alot to pull off but I believe they can do it. Fedor vs Barnett Fedor vs Randy(providing the courts go in Randy's favor) Fedor vs Arlovski These three fights will keep them set for at least a year for main events. If Affliction gets Randy vs Fedor for October...Dana White better start worrying.

+11 Internets | That reminds me, anyone else notice Don Johnson hanging out with him in the corner after the fight? I'm like 85% sure that was him.

+2 Internets | So Rich Franklin is officially moving up to Light Heavy-Weight. Who knows if he is staying there. Although his first fight in the division in 3 years and they give him Matt Hamill? I know he is a big strong guy, I just don't see him being able to compete with Franklin. Dan Henderson and Karo Parysian also added UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship® |

Because he was a heavyweight who came out and destroyed people. Headkicks and shit. Won his first 4 UFC fights in ~13 minutes combined. 3 by KO one by a nasty choke. One of them over Frank Mir. So people were pretty pumped about him. But ever since his contract dispute thing he's been fighting like a smaller Tim Sylvia=/ Though to be fair the Werdum stoppage was bullshit. So there's a rumor going around now that the reason Aleks couldn't get cleared to fight was that he tested positive for Hep B. Reeeeeally hope that's not true, or that it ends up like Diego's Hep C scare.
