Looked like a Floyd Mayweather decision. Not very impressed, and neither was the crowd.

Im going to pretend that didn't happen.

Big John was right, boxing judges on the MMA panel.

I'd much rather sit home, talk to a few of my friends who now live on the other side of the country and talk about it. But that's just me. I'm really not a bar person.

This looks like a pretty good card. I hope Griffin fucks up Rampage though.
You have to pay cover to get into sports bars? Glad I don't live in CT.

WTF? How exactly did Rampage win that fight, then? Griffin had rounds 1, 2, and 5 and 2 was solidly 10-8. You can pretend it didn't happen all you want, but Griffin won the belt fair and square.

I actually scored it a draw but thought Rampage would win on account of one of the judges not giving Forrest a 10-8 2nd round.

Not really upset over the decision, but I'm definitely going to rewatch the fight.

Yeah. I went to 85 and it was like a 15 dollar cover. Not only that, but the TV feed wasn't in HD and it was way overcrowded. It was a waste of fucking money.

I really didn't enjoy this show as a whole. I thought it was pretty bland and boring. The main event saved it from being a total disaster, but if I had gone to a bar with a bunch of drunk mother fuckers and watched this, I think I'd be fearing for my life right about now.

I spent about 40 bucks at a sports bar tonight to watch this, but at least with all the noise I didn't have to listen to Goldy so it was probably worth it. I thought it was a draw but I don't see how anyone could have given it to Rampage. I couldn't believe how pitiful he looked on his back. This will be remembered as UFC 86: Decision.

I had high hopes for Rampage's title run and now he comes in with no perceivable game plan and looking abysmal on the ground. I've thought for a while the best thing for the sport is a high profile, long-term championship run and now we've got the HW belt on the shelf for 8 months, Anderson fighting out of his weight class and 4 champs with 1 title defense between them.

The only plus from tonight is a good setup for wand-rampage III.

Jayrebb, do you understand that people don't need to deliver a New York Giants' final drive in the last Super Bowl to win every fight? You fucking ragdoll every single fighter that wins who doesn't give an absolutely dominating and decisive win. What the hell is wrong with you? Forrest won, and delivered a damn good fight and performance. I had a great time watching it.

The Mayweather decision I guess you are referring to was the split decision win over de la Hoya? That is what it is, but the decision tonight was unanimous and lopsided. One fighter came in with a plan, and the other hoped to club punch his way to victory. There's no controversy.

The crowd cheered pretty loudly when Forrest's name was announced. People booed him during the post fight interview... whatever. Pretty disgraceful imho.

I personally don't want to see anymore rematches between that crew of 4 or so at the top who've all fought each other, especially if they've fought twice and the same guy won both. Let Griffin get the winner of Evans/Liddel. Let Rampage fight Jardine. Let Wanderlei fight Lyoto Machida. Throw in shogun rua and let Anderson Silva fight whoever he wants if this first venture into 205 works like we all expect it to. There are some awsome match-ups at 205, no rematches yet pls.

I actually agree with you 100%. They need to mix up some of the fights in the 205 division before having a bunch of re-matches again.

Overall the card was far from great, but still pretty entertaining. I was really really surprised they didn't stop the Koschek fight. Lytle was bleeding all over the place and could barely stand up. And then the guy comes out and ends with a huge flurry. Dude has a ton of heart.

I just know that 1 guys face was mangled, while the loser didnt even look hurt.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I think him having a fucked up knee was part of the reason why he looked horrible. He was probably trying to get some damned feeling back in there so he just kinda held on until the round was over. I am a firm believer in that if you want the belt you gotta beat the living shit outta the champ. IMO that didn't happen.

Rampage said, "I got my ass whooped." What more do you want? He was largely inactive the whole fight which could be contributed to the barrage of leg kicks he took in the first 2 rounds which is certainly evidence of having the shit beat out of you. Did you see Rampage limp out of the ring after post-fight interviews? The guy was hurt.

As for Forrest's face, he has to bleed easier than any other fighter in MMA. He looked fucked up even worse after the Shogun Rua fight, a fight in which he completely dominated.

He got rocked by quite a few of Rampage's fists though. The first 1 in the first round were brutal shots. Especially that uppercut. Most people would have been sleeping. Outside of the 2nd round i didn't even see him do anything to hurt the champ.

It is what it is though, nothing can be done. I just dont think he won convincingly and thats what challengers are supposed to do to the champs.
